MOSCOW, IDAHO: New details in the Idaho murders case have revealed that victim Ethan Chapin was reportedly killed outside his girlfriend Xana Kernodle's room. It was also revealed that Xana was the murderer's last target and that she fought her assailant until she was killed. Heartbroken social media users are now imagining how difficult it must have been for the two lovers to see each other die.

Ethan and Xana were among four students who were allegedly murdered by suspect Bryan Kohberger. Kohberger, 28, has been accused of fatally stabbing Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana, 20, and Ethan, 20, in their off-campus three-story rented home on November 13, 2022. After a massive manhunt, he was arrested in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, on December 30.

'Couldn’t do anything to save each other'

"One thing that gets me is that in their last moments they both probably knew they were about to die and couldn’t do anything to save each other," one user wrote on Facebook. Ethan, from Conway, Washington, was a triplet born right before his sister and brother. He was reportedly dating Xana at the time of the murders.

"They seemed like such a cute couple. Every picture of them makes me smile. so heartbreaking and senseless," one user commented on the post. Another said, "Yes they probably did and it’s so horrific, but their souls probably traveled together at the end…together. What I tell myself at least." "I pray they didn't know and that it was quick so they didn't suffer. I pray the perp will be held to the highest consequence and that the death penalty is applied," wrote one user.

'Xana and Ethan appear to me in dreams'

"What hurts my heart the most is the fear they probably experienced. I pray they didn’t experience it too much and maybe her adrenaline kicked in. It’s so heartbreaking," one user wrote, while another said, "I feel so sad for them. I hope they didn't lay there suffering too long. I had a traumatic birth incident where I lost 2 liters of blood and I was awake for the whole thing. I could feel myself slipping away and knowing I was dying was so scary and lonely. The lonely helpless feeling was the worst. And the feeling of denial that it was happening. If u take those feelings and add in the pain from a knife and the fear of the k!ller , I bet it's 100× worse. This kind of stuff makes me so sad." "I want to say that everytime that Xana and Ethan appear to me in dreams they are happy, healed, healthy and in love! They have pure white auras. They are soulmates! Their souls transcended to a higher astral plane along with Maddie and Kaylee, but they are able to go wherever they please within the astral planes and our world. They send signs daily to their family and friends. They need our prayers of love and healing," said one user.
