MOSCOW, IDAHO: Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, has been charged with the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students. Kohberger was arrested on December 30 at his parents' home in eastern Pennsylvania, more than 2,500 miles away from the town of Moscow. Many experts have since analyzed the details of the case and provided their insights. Recently, popular YouTuber Dr Todd Grande, a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, uploaded a video on his channel analyzing the probable cause affidavit filed against Kohbereger. In the video, Dr Grande said he was "surprised" a criminology student made "so many mistakes."

Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, were stabbed to death on November 13 in their off-campus rental home on King Road in Moscow, Idaho. Kohberger, a PhD student in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the neighboring Washington State University, is now facing four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary charges. He is currently held in Latah County Jail and is expected to be in court for a status hearing on January 12.

Dr Grande is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP). In a video uploaded on his YouTube channel on January 7, he discussed various points mentioned in the probable cause affidavit. He highlighted the fact that Kohberger's DNA was found on the knife sheath next to one of the murder victims, and that his vehicle was seen entering the area of the King Road house right before the murders and was seen speeding away right after. Grande also pointed out the suspect's cell phone was in the area several times in the months leading up to the murders. The affidavit mentioned that the surviving housemate Dylan Mortensen saw the killer.

Dr Grande is convinced Kohberger is guilty. "Yes, I believe he is guilty beyond reasonable doubt," he said. However, he said he was surprised that Kohberger made so many mistakes. Grande added, "It amazes me that a highly intelligent PhD student who studied criminology made so many mistakes. He left his DNA on an item that can be tied directly to the crime."

The YouTuber added, "It wasn't like it was on something innocuous where there may have been a non-homicidal explanation for how it could have ended up there, like some type of consumer good that he touched at the store and then one of the residents bought it and brought it back to the house. It was on something that the killer would have touched. Bryan left his phone on when he visited the King Road house multiple times in the months leading up to the murders, he didn't realize how suspicious it looked that he turned his phone off during the murders. He used his own vehicle to drive to and from the residence and he left a witness alive."
