Internet slams Kim Kardashian for selling 'used tacky lingerie' for $50 on her clothing resale website
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian is facing backlash online for selling her "used tacky lingerie" as 'The Kardashians' star took to her Instagram stories on December 29 and shared that she added a few new items to her Kardashian Kloset, a "luxury designer resale" website that launched in the year 2019.
The beauty mogul posted a video on her Instagram story and wrote, "Just added new items to my Kardashian Kloset." The Skims founder also added a link to her clothing resale website in the story.
However, it seems like netizens weren't happy with the items listed on Kardashian Kloset.
A person started a thread on Reddit, titling it, “Kim selling used tacky lingerie for $50?” and writing in the caption, “Please they have to be so hard up for cash cuz idgi at this point. Are they that cash poor???” alongside a screenshot of the story, which showcased a Fredericks of Hollywood lingerie set labeled as new.
A person commented, "It's vintage now lol." One more person chimed in, analyzing the item as they wrote, "Its pretty obvious that it was probably gifted to her n was never going to fit so it remains unworn hence why she’s selling it and describes it as "new"."
Another user joked, "Kim selling her panties for 50 bucks?? My friend sells hers for 200 and isn’t even famous lmao. That’s sad Kim."
A comment read, "What does 50 dollars even cover in the karjenner lifestyle? A single amuse bouche at a restaurant, a tube of lipstick? What's the point?" and another responded, "I was thinking this too tbh. $50 is almost not even worth posting and gives an air of desperation.. So curious what’s going on."
Another user speculated, "Probably selling specifically for the perverts or super obsessed fans."
Did Kim Kardashian previously sell her used flip-flops for $50?
In April 2023, Kardashian listed many pairs of $50-and-under flip-flops on her family’s clothing resale site Kardashian Kloset, as per Page Six.
At that point, the former 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star shared a screenshot of a pair of blue and black cross toe flip-flops on her Instagram story.
“Shop my @kardashiankloset!” she wrote in her Instagram story, which also consisted of a link to buy the items.

The items listed on Kardashian Kloset recently are as follows: a Salvatore Ferragamo Rare dress for $1,595, several Dolce & Gabbana dresses, a couple Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Femme (Rare) tops and Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Soleil (Rare) tops, along with a Vintage Christian Dior (Rare) bodysuit/lingerie that cost $795.
The Kardashian Kloset also featured a Vintage Carolina Herrera (Rare) top for $695, a Callipygian top sold for $35 and some Rick Owens tops, and an LA Perla Bustier/Belt for $250, apart from the Frederick's of Hollywood (New) Lingerie for $50 that caused the controversy.
