Rumors and half-truths have been circulating on the Internet since the very beginning of this murder case. However, there's no assurance on the information. Depending on the official statement is much more prudent, rather than believing the theories and speculations around this mysterious murder case.
Recent new details
The two housemates on the first floor of the off-campus Idaho residence who survived the savage killings on November 13, 2022, Bethany Funke and Dylan Mortensen, have divulged alarming details in a probable cause affidavit. Mortensen, known in court as DM, appears to be the only witness who observed the perpetrator "with bushy eyes" stroll past her as she stood "frozen." Furthermore, the inquiry revealed that Kaylee Gonclaves' dog barked that night, dispelling all theories that he had stayed silent, and that someone they knew was the suspect, as reported by MEAWW.
Earlier information
Earlier it was reported that Dylan and Bethany were both asleep on the first level of the house when the late-night attack occurred and were apparently spared, while the four victims on the second and third floors were stabbed to death, as per reports.
About Kohberger's arrest
On December 30, Kohberger was captured at his parents' house in eastern Pennsylvania, more than 2,000 miles from Moscow. Kohberger is a PhD student at Washington State University's Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. Despite his denial of murder, Kohberger signed a form authorizing his extradition to Idaho. On Thursday, January 5, a probable cause affidavit was released in prosecutors’ case against suspect Bryan Kohberger, who made his first appearance in an Idaho court.
About the leads
Because of the pressure from the victims' families and the media, this matter has become highly delicate and challenging. The FBI worked with the Moscow Police Department to locate a white Hyundai Elantra that was involved in the incident. The Elantra was purportedly taken from the Pennsylvania house by police after it was apparently seen in close proximity to the murder house. According to reports, the finding of this white Hyundai Elantra aided in Kohberger's arrest, as reported by New York Post.
