LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On International Son’s Day, the internet was most impressed by Heather Dubrow and her husband Terry Dubrow celebrating their youngest child, who came out as transgender at age 12. The ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ star shared a post on Instagram of a beach with the name “Ace” written in sand, along with a sweet message to her 12-year-old son. But this news also attracted a lot of hate, especially from former co-star Kelly Dodd and her husband Rick Leventhal, on their podcast ‘The Rick and Kelly Show’.

Dodd and Dubrow’s long-standing feud has always been on news from time to time but this time it's here for different reasons. Dodd shamed Dubrow for her bad parenting skills. In a short clip of the podcast shared on Instagram, Dodd goes to the extent of calling her a “dumb b****."

Is Kelly taking it too far?

The internet surely feels that she is. She not only overstepped her boundaries with this incident, but her remarks were also deemed transphobic by many. One user pointed out that their reaction was fueled by past hate, and they commented, “Why are you so obsessed with the show and Bravo? You had your time and got yourself fired, just accept it and move on. If anyone is chasing clout, it’s the two of you. Put your energy somewhere else and move on with your life.” Another user commented, “Never a good thing to speak about someone’s child in a negative light regardless of your feelings towards them, remember you are a mother too.” One user pointed out, “I get you want to trash on Heather, but when it comes to her kids, you should leave it. Kiddos should be off limits.”

One user even tried to take a jab at the couple’s parenting skills, saying, “Instead of worrying about other kids gender identities, why don't you talk more about loving our children unconditionally. Oh, that's right. Your love for your children obviously comes with conditions. You guys are the perfect example of how NOT to parent.” The couple's strong reaction to this coming-out incident was definitely not seen in the right light as one comment reads, "Rick has really moved up in the world! Playing gossip with his anger-ridden wife, wow very impressive 😂 how happy you both must be, caring so much about what other people are doing." Other users accused the duo of being homophobic and deliberately misgendering. "So disgusted by Kelly. At least what’s his face got Ace’s gender right." and "It’s child abuse. Period. (And clout-chasing)," a user said.

Heather does not sway at the hate

To mark International Sons Day, Heather posted a photo of a beach with the name "Ace" written in the sand. In the caption, she expressed her love for her youngest son, who was named Collette Dubrow previously, saying that as parents, their duty is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children to grow into confident, independent adults. Heather acknowledged that Ace is still young, with a lifetime ahead of him, and that he may choose to tell his own story someday. She ended the message by reaffirming the love and support for Ace from both his siblings and parents. Along with Ace, Heather and her husband Terry, who is 64 years old, have three other children: twins Nick and Max, who are 19, and Kat, who is 16.

Dubrow also revealed that her daughter Max came out as bisexual a year ago, and now her second daughter Kat has come out as lesbian. Dubrow emphasized that they have shown nothing but unwavering support for their daughters throughout this journey. They are doing the same with Ace as well, and fans cannot get enough of their parenting skills! A user commented, “The fact that I tear up at this amount of acceptance is sad because that means there’s still SO many children who don’t get to experience the same so thank you for being that person for them ❤️”
