The Internet is going wild after some people confused Peter Davidson for Pete Davidson. Peter B Davidson is an American lawyer and government official who currently serves as the General Counsel of the United States Department of Commerce. On the other hand, Pete Davidson is a comedian fairly famous for dating Kanye West's ex-wife Kim Kardashian. 

Politico reported that Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Rep Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and Ginger Gaetz, Sean Spicer, and more were spotted at Matt and Mercy Schlapp’s annual Christmas party at their Alexandria home on Friday night, December 9. Other attendees included Alex Acosta, Sebastian Gorka, Stephen and Katie Miller, Chad Wolf, Greta Van Susteren, John Coale, Laura Schlapp and Bryan Wells, Brendan Carr, Rep-elect George Santos (R-NY), Erin and Nick Perrine, Erik Prince, Ziad Ojakli, Peter Davidson, Steve Holland, and Ben Terris. The Internet wasted no time in deliberately confusing Peter Davidson with Pete Davidson, asking what the comedian was doing in such a meeting. Cam Kasky, a gun control activist, tweeted, "Why the f*ck was Pete Davidson hanging out with these guys"

Internet goes wild after Pete Davidson is mistaken for Peter Davidson

One user hilariously clarified the difference between the two people and wrote, "Pete Davidson and Peter Davidson are different people. The former has inexplicable charisma and the latter is general counsel for the house Republican conference." Another joked, "Gonna steal one of their girls." Someone else wrote, "Read Peter Davidson as Pete Davidson and was briefly worried he was dating Mercedes Schlapp these days"

One user sarcastically implied that Peter Davidson was the "SNL guy" and tweeted, "I like to imagine that "Peter Davidson" is the same one as the SNL guy, just there for the free booze" Another joked, "Is "Peter Davidson", Pete Davidson of @nbcsnl fame?" One user decided to play ball and tweeted, "Gonna pretend that the Peter Davidson referenced here is Pete Davidson."
