MIAMI, FLORIDA: Kathy Griffin is expressing her support for Sophie Turner during the challenging period of her divorce from Joe Jonas.
The 62-year-old comedian took to Instagram on Saturday, September 23, to post a clip from her stand-up comedy routine in 2009, where she humorously criticized the Jonas Brothers. Alongside the video, Griffin added the hashtag ‘#TeamSophie’.
In the video, Griffin humorously poked fun at the boy band trio saying, “embarrassing.” She further claimed, “I don’t buy these three kids as sex symbols.”
Why did Joe Jonas file for divorce?
As per People, Joe Jonas initiated the divorce process from Sophie Turner in early September, submitting a legal filing that asserted "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
Even since the couple’s split, Griffin didn't hold back in her humorous critique, also taking aim at the Jonas Brothers' "purity rings," which they had once pledged to wear before marriage, suggesting they were "fake" and "complete bulls–t.”

The ‘Suddenly Susan’ star didn't spare Joe Jonas either, recalling his breakup with Taylor Swift.
Griffin playfully described Swift as "unbelievably tall" and compared her to a "beautiful 'Seventeen' cover model" with "long, flowing blond hair."
