CHESTNUT HILL, MASSACHUSETTS: A sports fan flashed his Costco card in an apparent attempt to win over a girl as a potential suitor during a college basketball match between the Detroit Mercy and Boston College Eagles. Players were trading blows on the court at the time.

The ACC Network filmed the funny encounter at the end of the first half of Friday's men's basketball game, when Detroit Mercy led Boston College Eagles 32-30. Detroit Mercy was eventually defeated by the Boston College Eagles 70-66 at the end of the game.

The young man, clad in a black and white striped referee shirt, is seen removing his Costco card from his wallet and offering it to the young woman, seemingly trying to impress or flirt with her, though it is unclear what happened during their conversation and if the young sports fan was actually trying to woo her.

The blonde-haired woman, clad in a sage-green blouse and light blue jeans, appears awestruck as she is presented with the Costco card in the video — a moment that went viral on Twitter. She is astounded as she continues to study the plastic card up close. Many spectators in the stands, some standing up and cheering, were unfazed by the apparent flirting taking place during this Twitter-worthy moment.

The young man may have never 'scored' in the end, and it's unknown whether fans would see them together at a later college basketball game, but the endearing video went viral on Twitter, receiving 18,000 retweets and 1,900 retweets, according to The New York Post. Many ardent admirers responded by referring to the young man as a "stud" while others hailed his "power move."

Another said: "A man with his own Costco card. It says income. It says responsibility. That man is ready to be a boyfriend, a husband, a father. You lock that s**t down."

Someone even praised the knight in shining armor, saying, "'Too many young guys out there keep getting horrible advice about how to get a girlfriend. All you need is a good attitude and a Costco card."
