Courtney Stodden says father Alex didn’t recognize and flirted with them at dinner: ‘That's kinda f**ked up’
Courtney Stodden has claimed their dad once flirted with them, saying they caught him checking them out after inviting him for dinner and he couldn't recognize his own daughter.
The 24-year-old reality TV star said that Alex John Stodden, with who they have a strained relationship, didn't realize it was them because they had colored hair.
"The last time I changed my hair, I hadn't seen my father for a while. I invited him out for dinner," Courtney recounted to the Hollywood Pipeline Podcast. "He walks in the restaurant, takes a look at me and smiles like, 'Ohhhh,' then walks on by. He was flirting with me! That's kinda f***ed up. He didn't even know I was his daughter."

That said, Courtney's past love life has been as sensational if not more. They grabbed headlines when they tied the knot with Hollywood star Doug Hutchison, 59, when they were just 16 and he was 51, just four years younger than their father.
Although the couple split in 2016, Courtney told the podcast's Dax Holt and Adam Glyn that they still had "so much love" for Hutchison. "We still talk, Doug and I still talk," they said. However, they admitted that their relationship had been "very challenging" with periods of "drinking, fighting, and all that."
Meanwhile, things are worse with Courtney's father. "We're not in communication, he basically told me to f*** off," she said. "He's so angry at me for a lot of things, but for going off and marrying a man, he feels he has been replaced, and then his marriage fell apart from my mum. I think he blames me for that. He threw away all my childhood memories, he took them to the dump. I'm like, 'Dad, I'll still hang with you,' and he goes, 'Go f*** yourself.'"
Courtney also said they had lost touch with other members of their family. "None of them thought I was going to be famous or this would happen but it had a ripple effect through my entire family," they explained. "I'm not talking to my cousins, I'm not talking to anybody...I think it has to do with the issue with my dad. I think he's making everybody think I'm the witch or something."
They added: "It's sad, you want all the love you can get. I DM-d my cousin the other day and said, 'Hey, I see you're watching my stories, why don't you hit me up. I love you, you're my little cousin,' and... nothing. I know it's the drama between me and my dad, but OK, fine, go and have a good life, keep watching me."
However, it's worth noting that they originally had the blessing of their parents to marry 'Green Mile' star Hutchison, despite the age gap between them.
"We all needed a good man in our lives. After a while, you don’t look at the age," Courtney's mum Krista, 59, previously said. "You look at the love they started to have towards each other. He became more than a number to us. He was her manager, and then as we got to know him, we got to see what kind of person he was. He just became a wonderful person in our eyes, and he’s a great Christian man."
Krista later claimed Hutchison was interested in her as well. "He was asking me to stay there with him and saying that he's had fantasies of having both Courtney and me," she said, The Sun reported.
