MOSCOW, IDAHO: More than a month after the horrifying murders of four University of Idaho students, the suspect, Bryan Christopher Kohberger, was arrested and taken into custody. After being extradited from Pennsylvania, Kohberger is currently standing trial in Idaho for the alleged murders of Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves, which occurred on November 13.

Since the murder occurred, several web sleuths have dug deep through publicly available information about the victims, the suspect and their families, including their social media profiles across the Internet. Recently, a Reddit user while on a deep dive on Madison Mogen, shared a Youtube video about her profile on Poshmark, a social commerce marketplace, and discussed about how a user got "persistent" in his interactions with Maddie over a "sweater."

'Bryan Kohberger killed 4 in under 10 minutes': Internet shares shocking timeline of Idaho murders

The Redditor wrote, "Maddie Mogen Poshmark very disgruntled customer from 10/16/2022-10/30/2022." The user further added, "I just found this last night, found it odd, but dismissed it. Probably nothing, but I found it odd how persistent the person got with Maddie over a sweater that she had sold to them on Poshmark, but didn't ship or respond to the customers requests for 2 weeks."

At last, the user mentioned, "I would like to think that no one would hurt someone over a darn $50.00 sweater, but we are learning of a murder case where it appears that someone killed her for no reason at all."

Along with a caption, the user shared a Youtube video of Jonathan Lee Riches, another Poshmaker user, "big23youngan," continuously asking Madison about the jacket and whether it has been shipped or not. In reply to the same thread, another user speculates and mentions if Bryan Kohberger was continuously spamming her on Poshmark and wondered if it was Bryan Kohberger.

However, social media has been flooded with such theories and speculations. Numerous internet detectives have given wild hypotheses since the murders occurred without any valid information. However, the Moscow Police Department has kept the case private as much as possible and tried to maintain the utmost confidentiality about the case and has only relayed authentic information. Later the crucial details about the case were published through sealed affidavits.

What is Bryan Kohberger accused of?

Kohberger was charged with four counts of murder and one count of felony burglary in connection with the case of the University of Idaho students, who were fatally stabbed in November 2022. Kohberger, a 28-year-old PhD candidate in criminology at Washington State University, is currently the only suspect, according to MEAWW. Kohberger was apprehended on December 30 at his parents' home in eastern Pennsylvania, more than 2,000 miles from Moscow. Kohberger signed a paper authorizing his extradition to Idaho, notwithstanding his denial of the murder charges agaisnt him. Kohberger will be having his next hearing on 12th January.

How was Kohberger tracked and arrested by police?

On November 13, 2022, at around 3.30 am, a white car that was subsequently determined to be a Hyundai Elantra was seen driving toward the house (the crime site). It passed by many times before leaving the neighborhood "at a high rate of speed" at around 4.20 am.  Other than that a similar white vehicle left just before 3 am for Moscow, some 15 miles away over the state border, and returned at around 5.30 am, according to security footage from Kohberger's place at Washington State University in Pullman. Afterwards, the police allegedly spotted a similar white Hyundai at Kohberger's house when they arrested him and seized the vehicle as evidence.
