ATLANTA, GEORGIA: The 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Kim Zolciak recently caused a stir on the internet with a clickbait 'RIP' post featuring her ex-husband, Kroy Biermann, photo. After she received the huge backlash, Kim tried to explain and defend herself from the clickbait drama.

The reality star took to Instagram and shared a photo with her ex-husband in another clickbait post. Kim started her caption with, 'Link In Bio' and added, "I am TIRED OF ALL THE LIES and ACCUSATIONS. EVERY DAY it’s always something new." She continued, "I’m tired of so much BS being thrown my way. So you want to know ‘what died?’ Here’s the truth."

However, the link attached to Kim's post redirected to a news website where the Bravo star tried to explain her 'RIP' post. She also assured that Kroy is 'alive and well' and slammed her outraged fans. She shared in the statement, "I used a picture of BOTH of us and said #RIP- and, frankly, the end of my relationship was like a death of sorts so #RIP to that."

Kim then insisted that the story she had linked in her Instagram profile 'had nothing to do with Kroy dying', adding, "The story was a tribute to many we've lost this past year. And yes my relationship was lost too so it seemed fitting." 'RHOA' star then called her fans out and said, "People also need to get serious."

She added, "Do you actually think if Kroy died, even with all of the issues we've had—my first instinct would be to go to my Instagram and post #LinkInBio with his pic and #RIP attached?" However, Kim's explanation of clickbait posts received backlash. A social media user wrote in a Reddit thread, "Someone just…take away her instagram. Can we get a petition going?"

Another person added, "Make it stop kim please." Another critic noted, "All jokes aside, this is really really sad. A star on a show that once had 4m watchers before the streaming era needing to do get-rich-quick scams to make money? It’s depressing."

Another internet user penned, "She is broke broke. Like didn’t their water get turned off?" Another Reddit user wrote, "Guys we forget this is LEGITIMATELY her only way to make money☠️." Another follower penned, "I think we need to stop giving her any attention."

Ariana Biermann slams mom Kim Zolciak's clickbait 'RIP' post

Kim Zolciak's daughter Ariana Biermann recently called out her mother after her clickbait post sparked Kroy Biermann's death speculation. Kim previously shared her and Kroy with the caption, 'RIP.' However, Ariana took to her TikTok and confirmed Kroy was alive and well.

She reacted to her mom's post, and noted in a video, "You guys, I had about a damn heart attack when I went on my Instagram. I physically don’t have any f******g words.” She was out of words for a few moments in the minute-long video and asked her followers, "What would you do in this situation?"

Ariana said she has getting lots of 'DMs' about the post, adding, "Secondhand embarrassment stays through the roof. Let’s see what’s coming next week." Kim's daughter further noted, "I love you but I just like my heart, like, tugging. Like, no, the f**k?”

Why did Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann get divorced?

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann parted ways after the couple faced financial woes. The estranged couple struggled to sell their Atlanta home, which they first listed for $6 million in October, and was lowered again to $4.5 million in January.

Kim and Kroy filed to legally dissolve their 12-year marriage in May 2023 and described in the court document that their relationship was "irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation."  However, they decided to reconcile their relationship in July for their kids but things didn't work out between the two.

Kim and Kroy exchanged vows in 2011 and share sons Kroy 'KJ' Jr, and Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. Kroy also adopted Kim's daughters, Brielle, and Ariana, from a previous relationship.
