LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 'Counting On star' alum James Duggar recently shared a heartfelt tribute to his dad Jim Bob. However, the television personality received the internet's wrath after he penned tribute for the person who allegedly never supported his daughter.
Jill Duggar, along with her husband Derick Dillard, spilled some shocking secrets about her family in a new docuseries titled 'Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets'. In the docuseries, Jill slammed her parents for making her defend her brother Josh after he allegedly molested her as a teen. The shocking news made headlines in 2015, though it happened nearly 12 years earlier.
James Duggar wishes 'Father's Day' to Jim Bob
James, 21, recently took to his Instagram and shared the lengthy post with a few childhood pics with his father. In the photo, Jim and James twinned in red T-shirts as the former held the later in his arms.
Meanwhile, in another photo, Jim and James smiled for the cameras as they were in what appears to be a helicopter. Alongside the photo, James wrote, "Happy Father's Day to the man who has always been my biggest supporter. Pops, Thank you for your endless sacrifices, your belief in me, you always pointing me to Christ, and the countless memories we've made together."
James continued his Father's day tribute, "I am grateful to call you my dad, and I'm proud to be your child. Regardless of what anyone may say, your the best dad I in the world! Today, and every day, I celebrate you and the incredible father you are. Love you a Ton! ❤️."

James's heartfelt Father's Day tribute received backlash on social media. An Instagram user wrote, "This is sad. Jill basically raised you and yet you support and thank the man who has hurt her time and time again. Shame on you." Another social media user commented, "Father’s Day to Jill who raised you. Not the cult leader father of yours."
Another follower said, "He is indeed a wonderful father, after all he lies to protect his eldest son all the while not protecting his daughters who were victims of said son. Don’t forget he also controls nearly all members of your family, what they say and what they do. Oh yes, he used his children for his own financial gain. Dad of the year!!!!!"
