BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: In a bold move back in 2014, 17-year-old Kylie Jenner ventured into the business world alongside her mother Kris Jenner, launching her very own cosmetics line, Kylie Cosmetics, in collaboration with Seed Beauty. Now, Kylie has unveiled her latest creation: a makeup kit featuring an eyeshadow palette and three lip gloss shades.

Her tantalizing teasers had fans eagerly anticipating the palette's arrival but to their surprise, controversy erupted as accusations of her having copied Mario Dedivanovic's Master Mattes palette overshadowed the launch. Criticism poured in for the limited range of brown and black shades, labeling the eyeshadow as basic. As the internet's voice grew louder, accusing fingers pointed at Kylie's product for plagiarism, and the young entrepreneur is now facing unexpected backlash.

Kylie Jenner launched Classic Matte eye palette and new high glosses

The 25-year-old business mogul recently created a buzz with her upcoming makeup line which she previewed on her business account on social media, Kylie Cosmetics. The focal point of the collection is an eyeshadow palette featuring 10 shades. In addition, she introduced three new shades of high-shine lip glosses, described as a mix of iconic colors that she has already established and never-seen-before hues, according to Kylie Cosmetics' Instagram. The makeup campaign is a departure from her previous bold and semi-nude photoshoots, with a more understated approach featuring close-up shots of her face alongside the palette and glosses. However, as soon as the products were unveiled, accusations emerged that the colors had allegedly been copied from Makeup by Mario's Master Mattes palette, prompting a swift response from internet users who called her out on the issue.

'Make Up By Kylio'

One person decided to be sarcastic about it, stating, "Ooo another neutral palette - revolutionary!" but then added, "I do like the campaign though, she’s actually showing the product on her face instead of trying to hard to be sexy body shots," while a second person said, "Just what the world needs, another neutral palette." A third user echoed, "It’s a brown palette… there’s only so many shadows." A fourth one declared, "She has the most boring palettes." While her new makeup was being slammed by the internet, people also noticed that the new makeup product had an uncanny resemblance to Makeup by Mario. One user on Instagram pointed this out, saying, "This looks exactly like the makeup by mario palette," and a second one added, "This reminds me of the Makeup by Mario palette." A third user also stated, "Looks like master mates make up by Mario," while a fourth user said, "Just name it Make Up By Kylio at this point." A fifth user questioned, "R u collab with makeup by mario?" A sixth user talked about the similarity between Mario and Kylie's product as they commented, "I’m surprised she didn’t bother to add any unusual or different colors from his palette to at least make it somewhat different. The only difference is “less product.” A seventh user joked, "girly pop mario is sueing."
