It falls within a separate genre from speculative or science fiction. These fictions and movies highlight the causes and impacts of global warming on our planet.

In literary fiction, certain writers explore climate change. Many movies address this issue and make an effort to spread awareness of the grave effects that climate change is having on our world.

1. Don’t Look Up (2021)

2. The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)

Next on our list is the science fiction film about an alien visitor that looks like a person and his huge robot counterpart who settle on Earth. The alien, Klaatu, announces himself and declares that his mission is to preserve the planet. Even though he considers him a threat, Dr Helen Benson, who was summoned to a US military facility, decides to assist him in escaping.



 

3. Before the Flood (2016)

One of the best illustrations of climate change is in the movie 'Before the Flood,' which was made by actor and Earth Alliance co-founder Leonardo DiCaprio and National Geographic. The poignant film transports viewers to many locations throughout the world to demonstrate how different stakeholders are touched by climate change as a result of deforestation, rising sea levels, and other human activities.



 

4. Eating Our Way to Extinction (2021)

The next film is a documentary that Kate Winslet, an actress who has won an Oscar, both executive produces and narrates. This informative movie explores the ways that many unethical methods employed by the world's food industry hasten climate change.

5. 2040 (2019)

If you want something less gloomy and more positive, '2040' is a surprisingly upbeat option. The documentary's narrative follows an Australian father who, rather than focusing on how serious problems are, imagines what life might be like for his daughter, who is four years old, in the future.

The focus of the feature is on showcasing scientific breakthroughs and creative responses to the issues caused by climate change, including renewable energy sources like rooftop solar, sustainable farming practices, and the numerous ways seaweed is being used to address the growing issue of food insecurity.
