LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bijou Phillips broke down in tears as her husband Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping two women between 2001 and 2003.

The 'That '70s Show' star blew his wife a kiss goodbye. as he was escorted out of the court in handcuffs, while Masterson's mother and Phillips were taken away in a waiting vehicle.

As her husband's verdict was read out in court, the ‘Havoc’ star kept her wedding ring on as an apparent sign of solidarity.

Following the sentencing, one of Phillips' close friends told the Daily Mail that she was dejected at the thought of parenting their daughter alone and her husband being sent behind bars has her "feeling like she is grieving a death."

"Currently, Bijou is circling the drain and is filled with all the emotion and no emotion at all," sources reportedly said, while reflecting on Phillips’ current state of mind.

They continued, "She is a shell of who she has been. She is really trying to be strong for her daughter as she is trying to figure out life and what it will be like for her."

Sources added, "It can only be compared to a divorce or a death for her not being able to be with Danny the way they were."

Phillips and Masterson, both Scientologists, first met during a celebrity poker game in 2004. They later tied the knot in 2011 and resided in a lavish Los Angeles house where they raised their daughter.

However, the ‘Almost Famous’ star is no stranger to tragedies as she previously faced rape allegations and drug abuse within her own family.

Why did 14-year-old Bijou Phillips emancipate herself from her famous parents?

Phillips, a model, actress, socialite, and singer, was born in 1980 to The Mamas & The Papas lead musician John Phillips and his third wife Genevieve Waite, a South African model.

However, she was only three when she was placed in a New York foster care home after her parents were deemed unfit to take care of her because of their drug addiction, according to Daily Mail.

In an Instagram post, she later reflected on how her biological parents worked hard to regain custody of her.

She said, "They spent years and years fighting for custody, so I bounced around a lot."

"When I was a kid separated from my parents, I remember my mother coming and wanting to take me and just wanting to go with her so much and screaming and crying and gripping the door, I was dragged inside, it took two adults and the door closed," she contined.

After spending a few years with her foster parents, Phillips legally emancipated herself from her drug-addict parents when she was 14.

Soon after, she left school and got an apartment right near Fifth Avenue which was looked after by a housekeeper.

As a young teenager, Phillips pursued a career in modeling and landed a Calvin Klein underwear advertisement, despite being underage.

This was the moment when her "wild child" party lifestyle took off and she became addicted to coke, ecstasy and heroin, just like her parents.

After her friend, socialite Davide Sorrenti, died from a heroin overdose at age 20, her father eventually convinced her to stay clean and sent her to rehab at 17.

The truth about Bijou Phillips’ father’s incestuous relationship with her half-sister

Phillips reportedly suffered another devastating blow when her half-sister, Mackenzie, claimed to have a 10-year incestuous relationship with their father.

The Mamas & The Papas frontman shared Mackenzie with his first wife, heiress Susan Stuart Adams.

Mackenzie, who is also an actor and singer, made the shocking claim in her bombshell memoir ‘High On Arrival’, in which she revealed that her father first raped her when she was 19, on the night before her wedding.

She described how she became pregnant but later had an abortion after being unsure whether the child belonged to her father or to her ex-husband, Jeff Sessler, who was unaware of the covert affair.

However, as her life began to spiral out of control because of drugs, the sex became consensual for almost a decade.

The singer also claimed that her father introduced her to heroin while she was a teenager and that he accidentally missed a vein when trying to inject the drug into her, causing her arm to become numb.

“I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything, too. Eventually, I passed out on Dad's bed. My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs,” she wrote in her memoir.

Mackenzie also revealed to Oprah Winfrey that she first used cocaine at the age of 11 and that her father had taught her how to roll joints at the age of 10.

She said that the relationship turned consensual and continued for about 10 years after her father sexually assaulted her while she was in a drug-addled stupor.

"We're touring, and I begin waking up after drug-fueled events with my pants around my ankles and my father sleeping beside me," she said.

"Again, [I thought]: 'Don't think. Don't look. Just keep going.' And this happened over time. It didn't happen every day. It didn't happen every week, but it certainly happened," she recalled.

She finally ended the relationship after she became pregnant.
