LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood’s list of break-ups just added the name of another pair, as singer Halsey, who goes by the pronouns ‘they/them’, splits with Alev Aydin, her beau of two years. It is reported even though the pair separated on “amicable terms”, the ‘Eastside’ hitmaker filed for full custody of their one-year-old son Ender Ridley.

As reported by Page Six, Halsey, whose birth name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, also asked for joint legal custody and joint expenses with Aydin. Rights for visitation were also included in the court documents.

Even though the ‘So Good’ singer and her movie producer ex have not given any statement on social media, sources close to them told Page Six, “The split with them is totally amicable and they are co-parenting, they are going to raise their son together.” Explaining the reason for filing physical custody of the toddler, the source said, the ‘Closer’ hitmaker would be going on a tour in the summer and “just had to file that way. . . so the singer can bring their son with them.”

The bipolar, biracial, and bisexual singer and the Turkish origin screenwriter-producer got matching tattoos in 2020. Tattoo artist Amanda Owley took to her Instagram to share the pair’s matching tattoos where both of them got inked with the word ‘Seeds’. Owley wrote, “Today I met the sweetest two people. Ashley and Alev. You may know her better as HALSEY @iamhalsey ‘Seeds’ is for planting seeds. She said this is cosmically the best week to plant seeds in your life. I agree.”

Quite interestingly, the pair revealed after seven months that Halsey is pregnant. Captioning the Instagram post with "Surprise! 🍼🌈👼🏻", the 'Bad at Love' singer shared a series of photos of their baby bump.

In February 2021, a source close to the pair informed Us Weekly, “She wasn’t necessarily hoping to get married before getting pregnant,” before adding, “Marriage is not the sole focus whatsoever.” The source further added, “At the end of the day, what matters most is that the baby is healthy and that she has a loving relationship with the father of her baby, and right now, she for sure loves and adores Alev. They are very much in love.” “She loves Alev and thinks he is a beautiful person,” added the source.

Later in March, the 'Gasoline' singer confirmed that the pregnancy was “hundred percent planned,” revealed US Magazine. They welcomed their baby in July 2021. 

In June 2022, Halsey shared a montage of pictures of domestic bliss with the caption, "🍃 I haven’t been great at remembering to take pictures so I’m trying to make a greater effort to capture these little moments 🪱."

In February 2023, Halsey also wished Aydin on Valentine's Day by posting, "❤️ ya’aburnee ❤️."

'This is Halsey's miracle baby'

One heartbroken fan commented, "Taylor and Joe, now Halsey and Alev. You can’t tell me love is real at this point i don’t believe it." One fan supported Halsey's stance of not commenting on the relationship and wrote, "Halsey has every right to not comment on this bc it is her private life. Respecting one’s privacy is a huge thing during times like these so let’s try not to focus too much about it all. Ik we are always sending h a lot of love & support & hugs & we should def continue to do so."

Another commented, "I really hope halsey is okay & surrounded by people they love & has time to rest take care of themself. something this vulnerable & already difficult being the news of the entire world is terrifying. regardless of the rumors validity, this is very personal & i hope they’re okay."

Someone else wondered, "What happened??? Didn’t she make a whole short film about him?? She was so happy about the whole thing." "Why did i think she pulled a kehlani and dumped her baby daddy after giving birth," commented the fifth.
