EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY: New Jersey's MetLife Stadium was abuzz with excitement on Sunday evening, October 1, as pop sensation Taylor Swift arrived to watch her rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs in action against the New York Jets.

However, what started as a night of football and celebrity sightings quickly took an unexpected turn as Taylor Swift's presence turned into a viral drinking game for viewers and TV watchers.

While the game on the field was engaging, it was Taylor Swift who stole the spotlight off the field. Frustration on social media escalated as broadcasters consistently highlighted Taylor Swift's presence and her every move. Soon, users decided to turn the evening into a playful drinking game.



 

Internet mocks NFL broadcast for showing Taylor Swift too often

A user tweeted, "Tell me some of you created a drinking game around the number of times the broadcast shows Taylor Swift." Another questioned, "If Taylor Swift mentions were a drinking game… How long into the game do you think you’d make it before you blacked out?"

A third chimed in, "Gonna be a long night." "It's nauseating," read a tweet. 

A user claimed, "Probably close to alcohol poisoning by now." Another added, "I'll need a new liver by the end of the night."

Someone stated, "There's not enough alcohol in the world for that." "It’s ridiculous. Thinking of turning the game off or watching it on mute," read a tweet.
