LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Polish woman Julia Wandelt claimed that she is missing British girl Madeleine McCann through social media in late February. She is now waiting for DNA test results to verify her claims as well as her true identity. However, despite the supposed evidence shared by the 21-year-old woman, many people have come forward saying that her allegations are false. In a series of such events, a British reporter has declared that he will “eat his own hat” if her claims are proven true.

Chris Chandler, one of the first journalists to interview Julia Wandelt, (also Julia Wendell/Julia Faustyna) did at one point believe that she could have been the three-year-old toddler who disappeared from a holiday apartment in Portugal in 2007. However, his belief in her claims slowly started to fade after doing "a lot of research," which convinced him that she is not McCann. Speaking to News Nation on March 25, Chandler suggested a series of theories that raises questions against Wandelt's story.

Chandler finds Dr Fia Johansson very suspicious

Chandler said Dr Fia Johansson, the self-proclaimed “Persian Medium” who is Wandelt’s lead spokesperson in the case, has produced a total of 400 minutes of video about the story. He incidentally argued that Johansson's role in the story is very suspicious. Chandler insisted that Johansson selling paid subscriptions to her live video feeds is something that a genuine claimant would not do. Moreover, he pointed out that although facial recognition software has found few similarities between Julia and Madeleine, the cops handling the investigation as well as their Portuguese counterparts are not convinced by Wandelt's story.

Adrienne suggested that the claims appeared to be a “scam” and a “money grab”, which seemed especially cruel to Kate and Gerry McCann, the missing girl’s parents. Chandler concluded the interview by hoping Wandelt "gets the support that she needs" irrespective of the outcome of DNA tests.

Dr Johansson does not want to involve McCann's parents

Wandelt's detective has previously explained why McCann's parents are not involved in the current ongoing investigation. "A lot of you ask why Kate and Gerry (are not involved). There is no need – Madeleine McCann's DNA is already there… they don't need to get involved with [the] media [or the] press. When the DNA test comes in, which I am really badly waiting for and checking every day the status of it, we will match with a DNA test of (Madeleine) McCann," she explained on Instagram Live. Dr Johansson added that Wandelt’s DNA could match with "anyone else out there that looking for their kid that may [be] missing at that time.”
