Iggy Azalea slammed by Christians for wearing blasphemous 'Jesus is a c**t' t-shirt

After being slammed for continuing with her performance even after one of her back up dancers fainted during a concert in Brazil, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has courted controversy soon after for wearing a provocative outfit on New Year's Eve.

The 'Pussy' hitmaker was seen sporting a t-shirt by the heavy metal band Cradle of Filth, and which had the picture of a semi-nude nun performing a sex act. The questionable visual was accompanied by the text 'Vestal m********n'. The other side of the t-shirt that Iggy took care not to show contains an even more scandalous slogan - 'Jesus is a c**t.'

It's not clear yet whether Iggy actually liked the offensive statement on the t-shirt or whether she's just an admirer of Cradle of Filth. She captioned the post with a 'flipping the bird' emoji and the word '2018', suggesting that maybe the last twelve months hadn't exactly been the easiest for her.

It wasn't long before she was blasted by her fans for wearing the t-shirt, many of whom took to social media to express their disapproval. One of her followers exclaimed, "That shirt is super old. This is how you know she's jumped the shark, going for the low-hanging attention fruit."

While another fan added, "I'm not particularly religious but I do think that the T-shirt is totally disrespectful."

One of her fans even justified the hate she's receiving for the picture by stating, "This shirt is disgusting, she is disgusting for wearing it, and she deserves every ounce of vitriol she receives for this."

This incident comes in the wake of criticism that Iggy received last week for continuing a concert performance in Brazil even after one of her her backup dancers collapsed due to a seizure. She later responded with a series of Instagram stories which read, "Sometimes I really feel exhausted by the world. It feels like anything I do becomes an opportunity for people to tell me why I'm sh*t, why my music sucks, my clothes are ugly, why I don't matter or why I'm a horrible person."

"I'm worn down. The last four years are just me existing in a world where I can do nothing right and it's hard not to feel like 'what's the point' and keep motivated," she continued.

She concluded with the message that she didn't know that the dancer had a seizure and she thought it to be an ankle twist. She also urged everyone to be kinder towards one another.
