Xana Kernodle's LAST STAND: Report reveals she put up 'fierce fight', as Internet slams Dylan Mortensen
MOSCOW, IDAHO: Questions have been raised against one of the surviving roommates of the four students, whose lives were taken away in the early hours of November 13. Dylan Mortensen is reportedly the one who heard sounds as Bryan Kohberger allegedly killed Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and her boyfriend Ethan Chapin. She also saw the suspect walking away as he left the house after the murders.
However, the 21-year-old’s statement to police did not include her hearing voices of struggles from any of the victims. She, though, heard a man saying, "it's ok, I'm going to help you," before a loud thud. Now, a report has claimed that Xana Kernodle tried really hard to save herself before her life was allegedly taken away by Bryan. The same report has also stated that Xana was the last one to be killed after two of her friends and her boyfriend were stabbed to death.

‘Her fingers were nearly severed’
The New York Post citing a NewsNation report said, “Xana Kernodle put up a fierce fight when the attacker set upon her, repeatedly grabbing the attacker’s knife, so much so that she sustained deep cuts to her fingers and that her fingers were nearly severed.” It added that Xana’s boyfriend, Ethan, was murdered just before her as he went into the hallway, apparently after hearing noises coming from the first floor, where the other two girls were stabbed to death.
The 20-year-old male was slashed on the neck by the accused before he went on to attack Xana. The young woman’s father Jeffrey Kernodle had earlier shared that his daughter fought hard. “Bruises, torn by the knife. She’s a tough kid. Whatever she wanted to do, she could do it,” he told Arizona’s Family in November 2022.
‘Dylan's statement is false’
Following the emergence of the new details, many have taken to Twitter to accuse Dylan of not saying the truth to the cops and hiding the whole thing. Several people believe that she’s lying because if Xana struggled with her killer, Dylan must have heard something. One such user tweeted, “Ethan was found in the hallway and Xana fought back so hard, she nearly lost her finger. It proves Dylan's statement is false. #Idaho4 #idahohomicides #Idahohomocides #IdahoFour #BryanKohberger #bryanchristopherkohberger.”

I'm not really sure what Dylan's statement was? But...have always had some feeling about her...I am sure they will have her testify. Do you think she could have been in on it?

I saw this too. Didn't seem like new information to me bc if you read the probable cause affidavit it pretty much says this. I wonder who is talking now with gag order... 🤦🏻♀️ But yes, based on Xana's defensive wounds, she would've been screaming so loudly Dylan had to hear imo
