'She gave him purpose': Ethan Chapin's brother lauds his GF Xana Kernodle recalling their last interaction

MOSCOW, IDAHO: Ethan Chapin's older brother shared a heart touching note on social media and lauded his younger brother's girlfriend, Xana Kernodle. While recalling their last interaction, Chapin's older brother Eric reportedly wrote on Reddit, “My wife Sarah and I met Xana for 2 weeks in July this year. She was staying with Ethan at their summer home. In the beginning she was shy at first and kept to herself while Ethan went to work. During that 2 weeks she warmed up to us and we got to talk to her and know her better. She loved playing with our 5 year old son. Her and Ethan would race hot wheels and Monster trucks up and down the hallway with him all night long so we as parents could enjoy visiting with my Dad and my step mother.”
“They took him to get oreo milkshakes and burgers, invited him on the boats with their friends, played in the water with him, even let our son use her phone for hours making snap chat 'funny faces' with her, laughing the whole time. For those 2 short weeks he even started calling her 'banana' because he could not say Xana very well. The 2 weeks we got to meet her were fantastic. The little time we did have to talk or joke around were great. She gave Ethan purpose,” Eric added.

He went on saying, “They had inside jokes that no one understood that made them crack up. He looked forward to getting off work as a waiter to see her. If the 2 weeks we got to meet her represent her and her life she lived, the world is missing 2 very amazing people. Two kids in their 20s that are stripped of being great parents if they wanted that, and amazing role models for the next generation.”

On the second and third floors of a Moscow, Idaho, off-campus housing unit, Kernodle, 20, her boyfriend Chapin, 20, and friends Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, were discovered dead from stab wounds on November 13. Meanwhile, the investigation has gone on for more than two weeks and cops are yet to make a breakthrough or any arrests. They are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
