'I was introduced to sex at a very young age': Jeezy opens up about his life, including being molested by babysitter
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prominent rapper Jeezy has disclosed his childhood trauma, including being a victim of sexual abuse by a female babysitter, in an open and candid conversation with actress Nia Long. He also opened up about witnessing a murder.
'I was introduced to s**t at a very young age'
The 46-year-old rapper, known for the song 'Put On,' described how the older unnamed woman had been involved in "touching and engaging in actions" with him that were highly unusual for children.
Long inquired if he had been molested, to which he replied “Right, basically.”
"I was introduced to sex at a very young age," he added during the video interview, which is titled 'I Might Forgive... But I Don't Forget,' named after his latest studio album.
Jeezy witnessed his friend’s father shoot his wife four times
Jeezy also revealed other traumatic experiences from his childhood, including witnessing his friend's father shooting his wife four times.
"I was there when they got into an argument... I was playing in the room... I remember it was like yesterday," he recollected.
He mentioned that he had hidden in the bathroom sink until his parents arrived, but the event "kind of stuck with" him.
He stated that before the age of eight, he had already come to accept that such traumatic experiences were "the norm."
Additionally, he left home at the age of 13 after an incident in which he claimed his mom allegedly pulled a gun on him, as reported by Page Six. He explained that these events left him feeling "desensitized" and "uneasy."
Jeezy says he is on a 'different path' than Jeannie Mai
This candid conversation with Nia Long took place as Jeezy was going through a divorce from his wife of two years, Jeannie Mai.
In September, he filed for divorce and cited that the marriage was "irretrievably broken."

During the conversation with Long, he mentioned that even therapy couldn't salvage the relationship, and he emphasized that he is on a "different" path compared to Mai.
He expressed, "I can tell you that this has not been an easy journey. I can tell you that I'm saddened."
"I can tell you that I'm disappointed. I can tell you that I'm uneasy, right?" he further shared.
"But, again, God has put me on a different path, and that path is going to entail me taking care of myself and loving myself," he emphasized.
