LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Russell Brand is back making headlines after being accused of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse.
In investigations of The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4 'Dispatches', four women have come forward to allege that Brand sexually assaulted them between 2006 and 2013, when he worked for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4 and featured in Hollywood films.
The 48-year-old star has strongly denied all the "very serious allegations" made against him, insisting that his past relationships have been "absolutely always consensual."
Now, in the wake of new harrowing allegations, the comedian's previous controversies have hopped back into the spotlight.
Brand has been involved in a number of celebrity spats but the one that ended in fireworks happened with legendary musician Rod Stewart.
Why did Rod Stewart lash out at Russell Brand on stage?
In 2006, Russell Brand incurred the ire of Rod Stewart after bragging to the audience that he had supposedly been intimate with his daughter, Kimberly Stewart, according to Daily Mail.
The incident took play at the GQ Man of the Year Awards where the ‘Death on the Nile’ actor took a jibe at Rod while accepting the Most Stylish award.
Brand said, "Here’s to Rod Stewart who had a go at me earlier this year for too much womanizing," adding, "But then again I did have a go on his daughter."
Shortly afterward, Rod was invited onstage to accept an Outstanding Musical Achievement Award, and he didn't hold back from putting the comedian in his place.
Addressing him directly, the 'Maggie May' hitmaker stated, "You went with my daughter, did you? Russell, stand up."
Brand suddenly appeared to lose all of his confidence and was heard apologizing sheepishly, "I took her out for one evening."

When a furious Rod questioned the comedian about his behavior that evening, he claimed that he "never touched that girl."
"F***ing right you didn't," exclaimed Rod, adding, "You mustn't come up here and boast. I speak here as a father."
Rod, who has eight children in total, shares Kimberly, 44, and son Sean Stewart, 43, with ex-wife Alana Stewart, 78.
Brand later reportedly tried to smooth things over with the musician, and the pair were even pictured together following the ceremony.
However, one of Rod's interviews on the following day made it clear that not all had been forgotten.
"[Russell] might be a bit of a player but he shouldn't boast. I never did. Russell's been a bit timid since I had my say," said the singer to the Evening Standard.

What are the allegations against Russell Brand?
The allegations, published by The Sunday Times in a joint investigation with Channel 4, asserted that Russell Brand sexually assaulted and emotionally abused multiple women, including one who claims that she was only 16 when the then 30-year-old comedian started dating her.
She also claimed that Brand referred to her as "the child" during an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship that lasted for about three months.
Another woman, named Nadia in the expose, stated that the comedian sexually assaulted her in his Los Angeles home. The third woman said she fell victim to him while working with Brand in Los Angeles and that he threatened her with legal action if she told anyone.
The fourth victim, named Rachel, worked with Brand when he presented 'Big Brother's Big Mouth', alleged the star flashed her and made inappropriate advances at her.
These horrific allegations came on Saturday, September 16, less than 12 hours after Brand took to his social media to vehemently deny "very serious criminal allegations" brought against him by the mainstream media.
