CINCINNATI, OHIO: IShowSpeed recently returned to livestreaming after being hospitalized due to severe headaches. During his recovery, he gained attention for his mischievous behavior.

Speed's name became entangled in a situation involving a fake account impersonating him on TikTok. This imposter hosted a live stream using IShowSpeed's previous content.

Millions of fans believed they were interacting with IShowSpeed and engaged with the fake account, unaware of the deception. The livestream attracted an impressive 18,000 viewers.

IShowSpeed's impersonator gains thousands of views

The impersonator posted an old video of Speed's TikTok livestream, which drew mixed reactions, with some viewers feeling joy, while others were shocked and speculated about the authenticity of the content.

A recent Twitter post from one of Speed's official accounts shed light on the situation, revealing that a fake account was using the YouTuber's past streams.

A tweeted, "An IShowSpeed Impersonator on TikTok is currently streaming an Old Livestream VOD to 18,000+ concurrent viewers…"

Despite an earlier accident during streaming, his comeback stream broadcast after the incident experienced a significant surge in viewership, with over 200,000 people tuning in.

Furthermore, Speed has been growing more popular over the years. He even secured the Breakout Streamer of the Year Award at the Streamys.

Additionally, the 18-year-old has earned a nomination for the Streamer of the Year award at the upcoming 2023 ceremony, set to take place in a couple of weeks. Speed has amassed a staggering 12 million followers on Instagram. 



 



 

Fans react to Speed's fake account on Twitter

In response to Speed's impersonator's video fans have reacted on X. One fan wrote, "These are NPC members who belong to the NPC Standing Committee." Another fan wrote, "Ay all this does is put more eyes on speed and his personal brand. Good news to me."
