IShowSpeed spoke on a podcast about how he became a fan of soccer and Cristiano Ronaldo

CINCINNATI, OHIO: IShowSpeed is a heavyweight in the streaming, content creation and vlogging communities.

Even though he is widely known for his gaming and comedy broadcasts, the world is aware of his fascination with soccer and Cristiano Ronaldo.

IShowSpeed recently discussed how he "fell in love" with soccer and became a die-hard Ronaldo fan in an edition of the 'VIBE with FIVE' podcast. 

Speed's love for soccer goes beyond watching live games and participating in tournaments.

How did IShowSpeed start loving soccer?

Being a gaming icon, podcast host Ferdinand asked Speed to share his experience playing soccer on the podcast. They began by asking him how and when he first became interested in the sport.

Ferdinand initiated the discussion by asking, "Is Speed really in love with football?" 

Speed revealed that he had first witnessed the UCL final match between Liverpool and Real Madrid in 2022.

Speed acknowledged that the UCL 2022 championship game was the first soccer game he had ever seen, but he also acknowledged that the game was absolutely beyond his comprehension. 

Speed said, "I watched the UCL final game in 2022. I think it was Liverpool vs. Real Madrid. That was like the first game like I first watched. First I didn't understand."

He added, "Once you understand the game, you start to really like it and fall in love with it. Ever since then I've been watching it."

A person shared a video clip on X, stating, "WATCH: Speed says his love for football started when he watched the 2022 UCL Final between Real Madrid and Liverpool."

How did IShowSpeed become Cristiano Ronaldo's fan? 

Speed often speaks about Ronaldo on his livestreams and has written a song for the soccer star, titled 'Ronaldo [Sewey].'

As if that was not enough, Speed has a Ronaldo's tattoo on his arm.

Recalling how he became Ronaldo's fan, Speed said on the podcast, "I don’t care what you are, man, woman, [or] animal? When you look at him, you get the sense of presence, like the way he takes his freekick, the stance. I kinda fell in love at the first sight."

Even Ferdinand, Ronaldo's Manchester United teammate, agrees with IShowSpeed's justification for admiring him. An X user posted a video titled, "Speed speaks on how he became a Ronaldo fan"
