'I MISS YOU': Mother of Stephen 'twitch' Boss reacts to Grammys moving tribute to her late son

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On December 13 last year, many people were shocked to learn about the tragic death of the famous freestyle hip-hop dancer and television personality, Stephen "tWitch" Boss. The sudden demise of the 40-year-old still feels unreal to many of his loved ones and it seems that Boss' mother, Connie Boss Alexander, is having a hard time trying to cope up with with the huge loss in her life.
Connie reacted in a message shared to her Instagram story after 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' executive producer was featured in the 2023 Grammys' In Memoriam segment on Sunday, February 5. "It will never seem real," she wrote alongside a snapshot from the tribute. Alexander added, "I miss you! I love you to infinity and beyond. Keep shining bright for us!" She also added a white heart emoji, the hashtag #STB, which is her son's initials, along with an emoji of a white dove alongside a broken red heart. According to the website of The Grammys, the annual award show segment serves "as a moment to reflect on and salute the members of the music community we lost."

Stephen 'tWitch' Boss' journey
Boss became a prominent figure in the industry after his famous stint as a contestant on MTV's 'The Wade Robson Project' and a runner-up on 'Star Search'. In 2008, Stephen competed on 'So You Think You Can Dance' and ended as a runner-up in season 4 and later returned as an All-Star. He also served as a judge of the show last year before committing suicide in December last year.
Boss was popularly known for his time on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'. He joined as a guest DJ on the show in 2014 and became a permanent fixture on the series. In 2020, he was promoted to the role of co-executive producer of the show. Moreover, Boss was often seen posting funny dance videos with his wife, who was also a participant on the dance show, on social media. The duo shared three kids, namely, Zaia, three, Maddox, six, and Weslie, 14, who often joined them in their dance video posts.
While speaking to People, Allison Holker, Boss' wife said, "Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."
Boss' mother's tribute after his death
Boss' mother previously thanked everyone for their support during the tough time in her family. "Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers and encouragement," she wrote. She added, "Please know I see all the messages, texts, posts and the phone calls. I can't use words right now. Please know I will reach out when I can." She ended her post by writing a personal message for her late son. "Stephen Laurel, your mother loves you to eternity and beyond," Alexander stated.
