TLC's hit show 'I Am Jazz' is back with season 7 and it looks like the new season is going to tackle several important issues in Jazz Jennings' life. When we last saw Jazz, she completed her gender reassignment surgery and was looking forward to study at Harvard University. Jazz was living her dream life! But fast-forward to today, the 21-year-old has several issues on her plate.

In her green room interview, Jazz explains how the past few months have been extremely difficult for her emotionally. After her gender reassignment surgery, Jazz was on cloud nine, but that joy was short-lived as she soon began experiencing depression and anxiety. While battling her depression, Jazz turned to food for comfort. This soon turned into binge-eating and the reality star put on some weight. Watching their daughter struggle, Jazz's parents decided that it would be in her best interests to take a year off and focus on her health instead of rushing to get into Harvard University.

Although Jazz's parents tried really hard to help their daughter with her struggles, Jazz's mental health continued to deteriorate. The new season opened with Jazz and her mother visiting the doctor to see how her body was healing after her bottom surgery. There when she stood up on the weighing scale she was shocked to see that she weighed 234lbs. Watching her weight on the weighing scale was a sore reality check for Jazz, who immediately blamed herself for putting her body in this situation.

Dreading that the doctor might suggest another surgery to fix her weight, Jazz immediately promises to herself to work on getting her life together. From planning her workout schedule to applying for an internship, Jazz does everything she can to get her life back on track. Aside from Jazz's many issues, the new season also touches upon some of the hate that Jazz and the Jennings family have been subject to online.

We see a blogger wondering if Jazz's mental health issues had anything to do with her gender reassignment surgeries. Jazz's mother and doctor step in to shut down the theory by pointing out how Jazz had been suffering from depression and anxiety long before her surgery. Jazz's mother even declares that the surgery actually saved Jazz's life as the youngster was her happiest self after it.

So will jazz be able to get her life back on track? We will have to watch the rest of the season to get our answers, but 'I Am Jazz' season 7 seems to be off to a great start.

'I Am Jazz' Season 7 airs every Tuesday at 9/8c on TLC.
