OAK LAWN, ILLINOIS- Cara Rahming got a beautiful surprise from her husband which she is going to cherish for a lifetime. A day before the pregnant Cara was supposed to welcome the couple's first child via Cesarean section, she was shocked when her husband, Harold Leroy Rahming, came home early from his deployment in Iraq.

The US Army National Guard with which he was deployed, came home early for the big moment. Advocate Health Care shared a post on Facebook with photos from the happy reunion. Cara had been unaware that her husband Harold, a US Army captain and physician, had already returned home and was waiting for the perfect moment to surprise her.

The Facebook post read, "Cara Rahming knew it was possible she’d have to welcome her first child without her husband Harold Rahming, a U.S. Army Captain and physician deployed in Iraq since June, by her side." It continued, "But when a routine doctor’s visit turned into an induction at Advocate Christ Medical Center 4 days before her due date, Cara found herself facing labor without her husband. While she had an uneventful pregnancy, the baby’s heart rate started to slow, and her care team quickly acted to induce her."

The post added, "Harold had been planning for weeks to surprise his wife by returning sooner than his original mid-October homecoming. With the help of family, friends and Cara’s care team at Christ, Harold made it just in time to surprise his wife in her hospital room."

The moment finally came when Cara took a restroom break in the hospital on September 17. While speaking to Good Morning America, Harold said, "I rallied up the nurses, and everybody was on board to surprise her, and we just waited till she came out."

When Cara came from the restroom, she told the outlet she had no idea why so many people were filming her. Recalling the sweet moment, Cara said, "I saw multiple nurses with their phones out. And I was like, 'Wait, why are they recording me coming out of the restroom?'" Cara, who saw her husband after three months, said, "Then I see him to the left in his full military uniform. And there's like no words to express that," adding, "Because I didn't know he was coming home. I just knew I was in the hospital, I was being induced and there was a baby coming soon. And there was a lot of emotions to process, but I know the definite emotion I felt once I saw him was joy." The next day, Cara and Harold welcomed their son, Harold Leroy Rahming II, who is doing well.
