Hunter Schafer's barely-there feather top at Vanity Fair Oscars after-party takes Internet by storm
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Hunter Schafer has received a wide range of mixed reactions online after arriving in a very bold attire at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. The event was reportedly held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, which the 24-year-old attended in an all-white look.
But what attracted most eyeballs was her barely-there top made out of just a feather. The outfit was said to be designed by the Belgian fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester. Vogue’s digital head of brand, Ana Eksouzian-Cavadas, called the two-piece set “a perfect balance between daring and elegant.” She also added, “It’s so beautifully minimal, and ethereal as ever.”

Many online agreed with her as a fan commented, “She’s serving, your honor.” Another fan tweeted, “The way my jaw drapped. 😟 She looks like a Goddess! 🧎♀️” Someone else wrote, “OH MY.... SHE'S DIVINE,” while another gushed, “Slay of the century omfg.” “I want to be her,” someone shared.
“I WANT TO GRAB A PEN AND WRITE HER POEMS,” a user noted while another added, “Hinter looks so good! ☺️” “Hunter Schafer showing everyone else how it’s done as always #Oscars,” a praise read.

But there were some who did not find her and her dress attractive as one critic stated, “It is like she threw on a skirt, the little bra thingy, grabbed her little clutch bag, a heel and pumped out of the house.” Another commented, “Westerns normalising outfits like this only makes me grateful that i have no/will never affiliation with them.” “Should have just removed the remaining clothing NGL 🙂,” read another comment.

Someone else shared, “She is such a perfect human being, but this is not a dress oh my God.” “No!!!! I don’t think it’s really appropriate for young girls. It’s just shouldn’t we be role models and modest in what we want to teach them?” a user protested. “Hunter Schafer on the red carpet... Q: ‘And who are you wearing tonight? Versace?’ A: ‘It's not who, ...but WHAT I'm wearing’ Q: ‘Okay... WHAT are you wearing?’ A: ‘Oh this? ... It's NOTHING!’” another tweet added.

‘We developed an attraction’
Meanwhile, the trans star is reportedly dating her ‘Euphoria’ co-star Dominic Fike. Fike told GQ in 2022 that while working with Schafer in season 2 of the series, their relationship “accelerated because you’re so vulnerable with someone, immediately. Which usually takes a long time," as per Page Six.
The 27-year-old explained, “Some people fall in love, like, f–king months after they meet, or years after. We developed an attraction — it sped it up so fast. We just really got to know each other so quickly.”
