Who is Hudson Madsen's wife Carlie Madsen? Pair were deeply in love when tragedy struck
Hudson Madsen, the son of Hollywood star Michael Madsen, was found dead in a suspected suicide in Hawaii. The 26-year-old godson of famed director Quentin Tarantino died from an "apparent self-inflicted gunshot" wound as his father bemoaned how he was "heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain."
"We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson," the family wrote in a tribute to the Afghanistan veteran. "His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time. Thank you." Hudson's mother, DeAnna Madsen, 61, was on her way to Hawaii to deal with the tragedy at the time of publication. Earlier, a spokeswoman for the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu said they could "confirm Hudson Lee Madsen, 26, died from a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected suicide on the island of Oahu."

Who is Hudson Madsen's wife?
Hudson was deeply in love with his wife Carlie Madsen, 28, and had been living in Wahiawa, Hawaii with her since August 2019 as he was serving at the US Army base there. According to reports, Madsen was stationed at the Schofield Barracks in Oahu, home to the 25th Infantry Division, and was promoted in March.
Carlie underwent surgery last week and lauded her husband for his support. "I just want to give a shout-out to my amazing husband!" she wrote on Instagram."Yesterday I had surgery to remove a tumor from one of my breasts and he was and has been so patient throughout this whole process! We were at the hospital for about 7 hours yesterday and while I was in surgery he went to target and got me flowers, comfy pajamas, my favorite candy, and a card! He's also been amazing in helping with my recovery and I'm just so thankful!" She added, "I also want to thank my family and friends that have reached out to make sure I'm okay and to check in on me! I love you all so much."
The couple met in 2017, with the Minnesota-native Carlie telling her friends on social media that Hudson was "a keeper." Madsen proposed in November 2017, getting down on one knee atop Pike's Peak in Colorado. The pair tied the knot in 2018, according to her Facebook, and he was deployed with the armed forces shortly after. He returned home in January 2019, with his doting wife posting a photo of them together. In June 2019, the couple hosted an "official" wedding ceremony at the Cheyenne Mountain state park in Colorado despite being married for a year and a half already at that point.
The pair moved to Hawaii in August 2019 and he was deployed again in May 2020. The following year, Carlie revealed that the couple was about to start fertility treatment and said she was sharing the news to end the stigma surrounding the issue.
In their final photo together, posted in November, Madsen was seen giving his wife a piggyback on a beach. He is now survived by his brothers Calvin, 25, and Luke, 16, and step-brothers Christian, 31, and Max, 27, from Michael Madsen's previous relationship with Jeannine Bisignano.
