In his first appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' Howard Stern smooched the host in the bid to make people forget that she was pictured with former President George W. Bush - a scandal that alienated longtime followers, including A-list celebrities, who rained sharp criticisms on her.

Stern, 65, often called the King of All Media, appeared on the show on Monday and immediately got down to business. He told Ellen, 61, that there was only one way to end the scandal of being photographed having a nice time with the former president at a Dallas Cowboys home game against the Green Bay Packers earlier this month: It was to be seen getting intimate with him.

"What you need to do, is take a picture with me - making out with me!" Howard told his counterpart. "Now just hear me out ... once people see me with you, no one's gonna be thinking about George Bush."

Although there is no way to know if Stern's proposal was scripted beforehand, it sure did surprise Ellen, who looked visibly uncomfortable, even trying to change the topic, saying that she was actually showing the 43rd POTUS a picture of Stern's watercolor paintings during the game. But Howard refused to be diverted, bringing the conversation back to smooching.

"Kiss me Ellen!" the radio performer said, as he proceeded to pucker his lips and lean in toward Ellen. "Nothing worse can happen to me now," Ellen joked.

Just before they locked lips, while holding hands, Stern reassured Ellen for one last time that she could not have chosen a better man to share a kiss with. "This is the picture that's gonna make America forget that you were sitting next to George W. Bush - you're so smart to do this," he said.

After the two shared the mock intimate moment, Stern playfully accused Ellen of turning the moment into a real kissing session. "Wait a second ... there was ... I think there was tongue ... I felt you pushing a little - I'm a married man!" he said.

A snapshot of the kiss was shared by both Ellen's personal as well as the show's Twitter page. "I haven't done this for a really long time. Well, not since Colin Farrell. Tomorrow," said one of the tweet captions.
