Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has been embroiled in controversy over her having a negative and toxic workplace. In the recent past, both former and current employees and others have opened up on the negative experience they have had working for Ellen and for her show, 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.

The 62-year-old TV personality has been told to accept the current view of her personality by radio and TV personality Howard Stern. Stern had shared that this was the time to "just be a pr**k" and not disappoint anyone. While speaking on his SiriusXM show on Monday, August 10, Stern advised Ellen to behave in the way that she has been accused of. He shared how if he had been in Ellen's place, he would have decided to "change his whole image". Stern, who is himself known for being blunt and speaking his mind revealed, "You know what I’d do if I was Ellen? I would change my whole image. I’d go on the air and be a son of a b****. People would come on and [I would] go, ‘F*** you.’ Just be a p***k."

Stern and Ellen are reportedly friends but Stern admitted that he has no idea what it is like to work for her. He had even remarried his wife Beth Stern on Ellen's show. He suggested that Ellen should make an effort to work things out for her staff. He had also suggested that she could approach the situation and allegations via the shock jock route. He shared, "So you think I’m a pr--k? I’m going to show you exactly," as a suggestion for a career path. Stern also revealed that he faces the opposite situation as Ellen and said, "I’m known on the air as a pr--k, but off the air, I’m known as a great guy, you know, for the most part."

It is reported that Stern has read reports of DeGeneres' work culture which has inspired him to make some changes in his own. "You know who’s abused in my workplace? Me." We had earlier reported that Ellen's staff are just about delighted that the toxic work culture has been exposed. They are also feeling very good about the situation as it has created a space where people can come forward with their own thoughts and experiences while working on the show.

A source spoke to US Weekly and shared, "They’ve been calling and texting each other about the story. They’re loving that the truth — which has been an open secret for years in the industry — is finally receiving more interest." Another insider had added, "Ellen is at the end of her rope. She thought this was all just sour grapes from a few haters. But it’s not a passing thing — the hits just keep coming."

Ellen's wife, Portia de Rossi, who had shown her support for Ellen, received a lot of backlash from fans for doing so. She had shared an image of a blue square with the words "I stand by Ellen" and captioned the post, “To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support. #stopbotattacks. #IStandWithEllenDeGeneres #IStandByEllen ‪#IstandByEllenDeGeneres."
