Liver King's height was once the reason he was bullied. Brian stated in an interview that he was bullied a lot by his classmates due to his short stature. His classmates used to beat him and steal his shoes.
After his mother's partner Mark gave him a bench press as a gift, the bullying stopped. "I was very tiny, I knew I looked a bit different and I got the sh*t kicked out of me every single day… I was very terrified. After bodybuilding, they started accepting me and even looked up to me,” he said.

The same year, Liver King had slammed some of his critics who speculated his abs were not real but surgery-made.
To put the allegations to rest, King went to see Dr Daniel Barrett, a plastic surgeon. The doctor can be seen in the video examining King's chest, pointing to his abs, and saying they are not the same on both sides.
