Eugenie Bouchard's height compared to other female tennis players

Tennis players must be extremely physically active, so it is not surprising that professional female players are among the fittest, leanest and typically tallest athletes in the world.

A female tennis player's average height on the professional tour is 5ft 9 inches (1.75 m/175 cm). However, it is more important to look closely at the specifics.

According to several trustworthy sources, Bouchard's height is more than the average height of an American woman, which is usually 5ft 4 inches (1.63 m/163 cm).

The top 100 female tennis players were found to be an average height of 5 ft 8.5 inches (1.74m/174cm).

Among them, Lauren Davis is the shortest at 5ft 2 inches (1.58 m/158 cm), and Karolina Pliskova is the tallest at 6ft 1 inch (1.85 m/185 cm).

Why did Eugenie Bouchard retire?

After retiring from her quarterfinal match against Italy's Sara Errani, Bouchard was eliminated from the Firenze Ladies Open.

Errani led 6-3, 1-0 after three medical timeouts were taken by Bouchard, who then gave up the fight, according to the Canadian Press.

The 29-year-old from Westmount, Quebec, has been plagued by different health woes for the past couple of years, but the reason for his decision to retire was not immediately obvious.

Bouchard made her 17-month comeback after undergoing surgery on her right shoulder, at the Odlum Brown VanOpen in August 2022, but a month later she was injured in a doubles match.

Eugenie Bouchard often shares holiday snaps with her followers

Besides Bouchard's height, many of her admirers get to enjoy sneak peeks of the tennis player's vacation days.

She was spotted in the Turks and Caicos islands looking sultry in a two-piece bathing suit in 2022.

Despite not having the finest year, Bouchard seemed to be enjoying her holiday, and she may still be able to put her recent struggles behind her as she attempts to move back up the rankings.
