Ariana Grande constantly wears such high heels

The songstress is 5ft 2 inches tall, or 157cm, and she has mentioned her height a few times over the years, mostly to explain why she constantly wears such high heels.

In 2019, the 'Positions' singer revealed on the 'Zach Sang Show' that she "needs" to wear really high heels while performing due to her height. "I’m like five … just five. No, I’m 5-foot-2. I do know that I’m always going to have a platform, those are better for me. Yeah, I don’t like the low ones," she said.

She often appears taller due to her high heels and the way she poses on red carpets.

In a 2017 interview with Footwear News, celebrity stylist Law Roach remarked about Grande, saying, "She’s the only person I know who does a concert in 6-inch heels. This girl doesn’t stumble. After her show in Anaheim, we went to Disneyland, and she still walked around in 6-inch heels. Those feet are magical."

The 30-year-old songstress responded by saying that she occasionally wears sneakers. "It depends. Sometimes I’ll switch into sneakers, and I go back and forth to [heeled] boots," she said.

Is Ariana Grande taller than other celebrities?

Despite wearing high heels, Grande appears to be shorter than most of her acquaintances and other celebrities. When Mac Miller and Grande were dating, the height difference between them was obvious.

Miller is 5 feet 6 inches (167cm) tall. When they performed 'The Way' together at One Love Manchester, Grande, who was wearing six-inch platform heels, was still half-an-inch shorter than Miller, who was wearing sneakers.

Troye Sivan is 5ft 8inches (172cm) and appears to be 7.5 to 8 inches taller than Grande in the video for their song 'Dance to This', taking into account his bigger shoes.

Grande and Sivan were seen together again at the Met Gala in 2018. This time, Grande wore enormous platform shoes that made her seem taller than Sivan.

Grande is much shorter than the men she has been romantically involved with over the years.

Pete Davidson is 6ft 1 inch (187.3 cm), Ricky Alvarez is 5ft 10 inches (177.8 cm), Nathan Sykes is 5ft 9 inches (175.3 cm), Jai Brooks is 5ft 7inches (171.5 cm), Big Sean is 5ft 7.5 inches (171.5 cm), and Dalton Gomez is 5ft 7 inches (170.2 cm).

Grande is much shorter than her ex-fiance, Davidson. According to other sources, Davidson is in fact 6ft 3 inches (190cm) tall. Grande, however, won't give up wearing her sky-high heels, even though she often does some difficult dance moves during her performances that have led to a number of amusing slip-ups, both on and off stage.

Ariana Grande's height comparison with contemporary singers

There's speculation about Ariana Grande's height, often compared to that of other contemporary singers.

One such singer is Selena Gomez, who stands at 5 feet 5 inches (165 cm or 165 m). In contrast, Grande stands at 5 feet 2 inches, indicating that Gomez is three inches taller.

Selena Gomez, an American singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, and producer, has garnered numerous awards, including an American Music Award, a Billboard Music Award, two MTV Video Music Awards, and 16 Guinness World Records. She has also received nominations for four Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a Latin Grammy Award.

In another comparison, Taylor Swift stands at a height of 5 feet 10 inches (178 cm or 1.78 m), revealing an 8-inch difference from Grande, who stands at 5 feet 2 inches.

Taylor Alison Swift, a prominent American singer-songwriter, has significantly impacted popular culture and the music industry through her songwriting, artistic transformations, and entrepreneurial ventures. Her public image has sparked widespread public interest and media coverage.

Thirdly, let's consider the height comparison between Grande and Billie Eilish, who stands at 5 feet 3 inches (163 cm or 1.63 m). This indicates a one-inch height difference, as Grande stands at 5 feet 2 inches. Here, it became evident that Eilish is standing taller than Grande.

It's noteworthy that Eilish, a singer and songwriter, initially gained public attention in 2015 with her debut single "Ocean Eyes." The song, notably written and produced by her brother Finneas O'Connell, is a collaboration they continue in both music and live performances.

Notably, Adele is a 16-time Grammy Award winner, recognized for Best New Artist, and is renowned for her mezzo-soprano vocals. Her accolades also include 12 Brit Awards, an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
