LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: LeBron James has celebrated his son Bronny's birthday after he suffered a health scare a few months back.
The NBA legend called Bronny the “greatest of all time” in a loving tribute post on Instagram as his child turned 19 on Friday, October 6.
“On and off the court you're the 🐐@bronny!!,” Lebron wrote in the caption of his celebratory post, including a goat emoji to refer to his son being the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time). “Happy Born-Day son!!! Love you ♾️ kid. Keep going up! 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎✨✨✨✨,” LeBron added.

LeBron James also shared a series of images alongside his son Bronny
Alongside the touching post, the 38-year-old shared several snaps of himself and Bronny, including one that showed the father-and-son duo smiling as they posed for a photo.
A second photo showed the duo grinning at the camera once again as Bronny gave a thumbs-up.
The popular athlete also reposted several photos on his Instagram Story that showed his son playing basketball as a young child and over the years as he continued to celebrate his son on his birthday, People reports.
Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest in July
LeBron's son suffered a cardiac arrest during a workout at the University of Southern California in July. The James family announced that Bronny had been diagnosed with "an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect” which they added "can and will be treated."
The proud father shared earlier this week that Bronny, who recently began his first semester at USC, is “doing extremely well” as he provided an update on the 19-year-old’s progress and plans post-surgery to The Athletic's Jovan Buha.
After a "successful surgery," Lebron said that Bronny has “begun his rehab to get back on the floor this season,” according to Buha's report.
“We’re happy to see where he is and what his future still has in store for him,” LeBron concluded his update on Bronny.
Bronny James' mother also posted a birthday tribute
“Happiest 19th Birthday!!!!!”, Savannah, the mom-of-three wrote on Instagram. “I pray that the joy radiating from this photo is what you feel today. It’s been a few months, but the strength, resilience and determination you’ve shown has kept us all grounded in the positive!,” she wrote.
“I love you so so much and I pray for you health, happiness and prosperity this year and all years ahead of you!! 🎉🎉🎉😘😘😘🤎🤎🤎🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🎂🎂🎂🎂,” Savannah finished her post.

USC Basketball coach Andy Enfield shared last month that Bronny "is doing very well” in another update as he spoke of the teen’s recovery though he added that he “can't comment on anything medically.”
“He's going to class and doing extremely well in school, and we're really excited for him," Enfield said, according to ESPN, as he confirmed that the athlete did not participate in the team's first game of the season.
