Jamie Foxx motivated 'to get back in shape' as friends, doctors urge him not to rush for recovery
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx is motivated to get back in shape after suffering a medical complication in April 2022, widely thought to be a stroke.
The actor is currently recovering from the incident and is adjusting his diet and building towards a program.
He is working to get his six-pack abs toned and chiselled, the source claims, as per a report.
Is Jamie Foxx out of shape after a life-threatening medical condition?
A source close to Foxx told the National Enquirer, as reported by Radar Online, that he is "grateful to be alive" but "out of shape"'
He "can hardly go out weight-lifting or doing anything too strenuous right now."
The source added that Foxx is being urged by his pals and doctors not to rush his recovery if that means holding on "achieving his goal for a while."
How confident is Jamie Foxx about getting back to his old self?
Despite the setback, Foxx is said to be confident that he will eventually get back to his old self.
"He's got confidence in his acting ability," the source said, adding "There's zero doubt in his mind that he'll eventually be looking as good as ever."
Foxx has not publicly disclosed the nature of his medical complication, but it is widely thought to be a stroke.
The actor was hospitalized for several weeks and had to undergo intense physical therapy.
The publication previously reported that Jamie was receiving treatment at one of the top physical rehabilitation centres in the country.
In the report, the source claimed he would not been in the hospital had he not been "impaired in some way as a result of whatever happened to him."
How did Jamie Foxx shut down rumours of being paralyzed and blind?
In a July Instagram video, Foxx thanked his fans for their support and said that he was "grateful to be alive."
He also said that he was eager to get back to work. He also called reports and rumors that the medical condition had left him paralyzed and blind as "completely inaccurate."
"Now, you know, by being quiet sometimes things get out of hand...some people said I was blind, but as you can see ... the eyes are working just fine. Said I'm paralysed, I'm not paralysed... I went to hell and back,"Jamie said.

"I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through," Foxx said in the video.
"And I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates. But to be honest with you, I just didn't want you to see me like that, man," he added.
It is unclear when Foxx will be able to return to work, but he is said to be making progress in his recovery.
"He's doing well," the source said, adding, "He's taking it one day at a time."
In an Instagram post on August 17, Foxx said that he is "finally starting to feel like myself." He added in the caption, "it’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light…"
