LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tragedy struck on Saturday, October 28, 2023, as beloved ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry reportedly died at the age of 54. The actor, who played Chandler Bing on the popular show, died by apparent drowning at his Pacific Palisades home, as reported by TMZ.
First responders rushed over to Perry's home after a 911 call at 4:07 pm local time and treated it as a water rescue, a source from law enforcement told NBC News.

Matthew Perry, who had turned 54 this year in August, was found in a jacuzzi, a source told TMZ. No drugs were reportedly found on the scene of the death.
There was no foul play involved in Perry’s death, as per the source.
TMZ reported that Perry returned to his home in the morning after a two-hour round of pickleball. Soon after, he asked his assistant to go out for an errand.
When the assistant returned after nearly 2 hours, he found Perry unresponsive and called 911, the outlet's further said.
New York Post also shared a statement by the Los Angeles Police Department that read, “Los Angeles Police Department stated, “We responded to the 1800 block of Blue Sail Rd for a death investigation on a male 4:10 pm this afternoon. He was in his 50s.”
