OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA: ‘Euphoria’ fame Angus Cloud died at age of 25. His untimely death was confirmed by his family in a statement. "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways," the statement read. 

It further stated, "Last week, he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."



 

How did ‘Euphoria’ star Angus Cloud die?

There is no clarity on what caused his death, but many fans are drawing theories from the family statement that it could have been his mental health. It also talks about the fact that he lost his father a week earlier and was in deep pain from the loss. His family also touched upon the importance of speaking out, when going through emotional turmoil. "We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss."

Angus made a breakthrough with his performance through the HBO series in which he played Fezco’s character from 2019 to 2022. He also made an impact with his performance in movies such as ‘The Line’ and ‘North Hollywood.’

“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud,” HBO released a statement. “He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time,” the statement added.

How did Angus Cloud end up doing 'Euphoria' 

The actor attended the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts where Zendaya, his ‘Euphoria’ co-star, was his classmate. He was spotted by casting director Jennifer Venditti during his shift at Woodland restaurant near Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Cloud later revealed that he thought it was an attempt by her to scam him. He breathed his last at his family’s home in Oakland, California.
