MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: The 49-year-old designer Brooke Gomez was discovered deceased in an advanced state of decomposition in her $1.3 million New York City apartment on Manhattan's Upper East Side, with the cause of death undisclosed.

The untimely demise of the renowned interior designer celebrated for her work on Bravo's 'Bethenny Ever After' and high-profile projects for celebrities like Bethenny Frankel, Michael J Fox, and Sigourney Weaver, has left many in shock.

Mystery surrounds Brooke Gomez's death

Sources reveal that Gomez had not been seen for over a week before a concerned friend requested the building's superintendent to check on her well-being.

The discovery, made on Sunday night, November 19, prompted a 911 call, leading to the immediate response of police and an ambulance. Despite the grim nature of the finding, an NYPD spokesman has stated that no criminality is suspected at this time.

Gomez's influential career included her participation in Bravo's 'Bethenny Ever After' in 2013, where she and her mother undertook the renovation of Bethenny Frankel's $5 million Tribeca penthouse.

Beyond reality TV, Gomez left her mark on celebrity homes, including those of Michael J Fox and Sigourney Weaver.

The interior designer, known for sharing her projects and uplifting quotes on social media, posted her final Instagram message on October 23.

The mural on the side of a building conveyed a powerful message, "There's a future version of you that is so proud you didn't give up." Two days earlier, she shared insightful words from British author Roald Dahl, emphasizing the importance of kindness.

Who was Brooke Gomez?

Born into a family deeply rooted in design, Gomez initially aspired to become a lawyer but later chose to follow in the footsteps of her renowned decorator mother, Mariette Himes Gomez.
