STONE MOUNTAIN, GEORGIA: 'Extreme Weight Loss' star Brandi Mallory tragically died at the age of 40 and the cause of her death remains undisclosed.
A representative for the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to People that the former reality star died on November 9 in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Mallory's weight loss journey was featured in 'Extreme Weight Loss' Season 4 in 2014.
Following her time on ABC's reality show, she shared her life story in an interview with Ask Kirby Carroll, revealing that the loss of her sorority sisters at 29, just a week younger than her, inspired her weight loss journey.

The former TV personality confessed that the death of her sorority sisters at the age of 29, a week younger than her, pushed her towards a weight loss journey.
Witnessing her death, Brandi at the time said, "I was literally waking up every day like this might be my last day waking up, like, I don't know what's going to happen for me."
She added, "When it's playing on your mind that I might need to do something about my weight because I'm afraid I might die too, then you might need to pay attention to something like that."
Family pays tribute to Brandi Mallory
Brandi's family paid heartfelt tribute to her. The friends and family honored a candlelight vigil on November 12. Her obituary revealed that the memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 19 in Lithonia, Georgia.
'Extreme Weight Loss' co-star Kim Williams Maxile also wrote a heartfelt post for Brandi, saying, "Rest in Love sis. To my fellow Extreme Weight Loss @extweightloss sis, @brandimallory you will be missed. I’ll never forget while I was at boot camp for season 5 we watched your season and it inspired us to keep going."
Kim added, "You truly made an impact on this world with your zest and your passion for body positivity. I’m blessed to have gotten to experience you in this world."

Brandi Mallory was rejected by 'The Biggest Loser' producers
Brandi once revealed in an interview that 'Extreme Weight Loss' was not the only show she was looking forward to participating in. Brandi applied for 'The Biggest Loser.' However, she was not picked by the producers for that show.
She then sent her application to 'Extreme Weight Loss.' Brandi claimed, "Literally every footstep since then has been God. I prayed over that application before I sent it off; I prayed every step of the way."
