LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Euphoria' star Angus Cloud died at the age of 25 while grieving the death of his father, Conor Joseph Hickey, TMZ reports. Angus' official cause of death has not yet been disclosed, although his mother stated that he died of a "possible overdose," according to TMZ on July 31, 2023.
In recent weeks, Angus battled to come to terms with his father's death. In a letter sent to People on July 31, the 'Euphoria' star's family disclosed that he "intensely struggled" with the loss of his father, Conor. Prior to his death at his home on Monday, the 25-year-old actor and his family allegedly traveled to Ireland last week to bury their patriarch. So, what happened to Angus's father?

Angus paid tribute to his late father on Instagram just two weeks before his terrible death, in one of his final social media postings. The 25-year-old 'Euphoria' was discovered dead at his family's Oakland home. That the actor was claimed to be suffering "severe suicidal thoughts" following his father's death.
The actor had lately returned from Ireland, where he had laid his father to rest, and was said to be living with his family in Oakland to cope with his father's death. On July 14, the actor uploaded a selfie of his happy father in a red sweatshirt and red sweatpants with the remark, "miss u breh."
Before his final post on July 18, he also shared a 2016 video and another music video, both of which included his 18K white gold grillz, which were tagged in Dublin, Ireland. Little is known about Angus' father and how he died. According to sources, Angus took his father's death extremely hard and was staying with his family in Oakland, where he was raised, to attempt to overcome his grief. According to a memorial made by Hickey's old rugby squad, he died on May 18 "after a short illness."

Who was Angus Cloud’s dad?
Angus' father’s former rugby team shared a homage to him after his death. “It is with sadness that the club was informed you of the passing in the California of Conor Hickey a former captain of Ashbourne RFC in 1982/83. He was a legend in the early days of Ashbourne Rugby Club and a force of nature in the backrow!” Conor's former rugby club posted in May 2023.
According to the post from Ashbourne Rugby, Conor departed Ashbourne in the 1980s following a stellar career that included being a member of the O'Connell Cup winning squad in 1979. He arrived in Los Angeles before settling in the San Francisco Bay Area. He returned to St Margaret's every year, and Mick would collect all his mates for a session at the Rolestown Inn (Kettles Hotel), where the happy memories from Ashbourne Rugby Club were disputed, with some fantastic storytelling by Mick.

Angus' mother said in a June post that sadness was heartbreaking. "Today I made planters out of Conors Wellies. The first pic is from the night he asked me to spend the rest of our lives together. I truly appreciate all the messages and the offers of help from our friends. We were very lucky to have such a wonderful circle of goofballs to share the good times and the tough times. Like all who lived in the time of AIDS, death is no stranger to our circle. Too many wild things left us way too soon. It’s a cliche to say those loved one live on in our hearts but it’s true."
Since Conor's death, Angus' mother, Lisa Cloud, has posted several tributes to her son. She wrote on June 2, 2023, "Thanks to all of you for your messages about Conor’s passing. The picture below is from the memorial service 2 days ago. He would have been so honored that so many young people came to express how much they appreciated their support from him. Our home welcomed all our kids ‘homies.’"
"He is the love of my life. He was an incredible father to his three children, and a great support to many many others as well. Slainte Conor Joseph Hickey," she added.
