PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Andrea Evans, the ‘One Life to Live’ star has died at the age of 66. Her manager Nick Leicht confirmed the death by a statement, "I've been working with Andrea for the past 7 years. She was such a tremendous talent and an absolute joy to work with." Some of her notable work comprises her role as Rebecca Hotchkiss’ in ‘Passions’ and Patty Walker in ‘The Bay.’ She was also part of ‘A Low Down Dirty Shame,’ ‘Ice Cream Man,’ and ‘Hit List', among other films.

Evans also bagged a nomination for a ‘Daytime Emmy Award’ for her outstanding work in a drama series in 1988 for her performance as Tina in 'One Life to Live'. She again got nominated for the same prestigious award in 2015 for the ‘DeVanity’ web series, in which she played the role of Vivian Price. The star abruptly quit the hit show ‘One Life to Live’ in 1990, after being threatened by a stalker, “It’s forever changed me. There’s no way it could not," she said.



 

'I'm thrilled to be returning'

However, she made a return in 2008, and issued a statement, “For many years, both fans of mine and One Life to Live have wanted me to return." Evans further said, “Now that the timing is right, I'm thrilled to be returning to the role of Tina, which I've always held near and dear to my heart.”

Series executive producer Frank Valentini was interviewed on her return, “Even though Andrea has not appeared on OLTL since 1990, she has remained among the most requested characters to return to the show. I welcome her home to OLTL and to the role where she made an indelible mark on our audience," said Valentini.

How Did Andrea Evans Die?

The teenager-famed star from ABC’s ‘One Life to Live’ and NBC/DirecTV’s ‘Passions,’ died on Sunday, July 9, announced casting director Don Carroll. She died at her home in Pasadena after a long battle with breast cancer, as per People.

Evans is survived by her husband Stephen Rodriquez, and their daughter Kylie. Before tying the knot with Stephen in 1998, she was married to her co-star from 'OLTL's Wayne Massey from 1981 to 1983.
