A husband who has been labeled "too unattractive" to be with his "hot wife" has responded to trolls in a series of videos on his booming TikTok page. Divine from the Philippines and Scott from Houston, Texas, have been married for five years after she messaged him on Facebook in 2017, believing he was someone else

The two started a long-distance relationship after talking on the phone for a while. Scott made his first trip to the Philippines in November 2017 and later proposed to Divine there. Before she moved to the United States and the couple got married, they maintained their long-distance relationship for four years, according to Daily Mail. However, not everyone believed that this relationship is real. Users on social media have brutally trolled the couple, with some saying, "She is just here for a green card," while others commenting, "Poor guy getting played."

Scott and Divine began posting videos about their relationship on TikTok in 2021, but hundreds of mean-spirited followers don't believe they could "ever be together." Many people believe Divine is only with Scott because he "has money" or can help her obtain a "green card" and remain in the country.

On Truly's YouTube channel, Scott said, "Before I met Divine, life was pretty boring. My life was at a total standstill," and explained that although the Scleroderma he has had since he was 13 years old has "morphed" his appearance, it is "not expected to get any worse."

He responded to the disparaging comments by saying, "Because you keep seeing the same thing over and over again. There's just no effect anymore," adding, "We're just two normal people... there's always going to be someone out there that's not going to think about it (your appearance)."

Scott's wife Divine claimed that she is not with him only for financial gain and that it is "hurtful" for people to think that way.

The couple is happily married, but they have encountered derogatory comments from strangers. The couple listed the "weirdest questions" they've been asked by online strangers in a TikTok video that has received 14,000 views. The haters don't hold back, asking questions like "Are you a real couple?" and "Are you sexually active?" and "Does your wife ever wash her hair?" In response to the comments, the couple makes fun of the hatred with a slight sarcastic touch. One person assumed Divine was "very young" based on her appearance, but Scott joked in a TikTok video, "Don't let your eyes deceive you, she's way older than you think she is."

Mean commentators did not stop, one user wrote, "When you're at work I doubt she is loyal to you." Another person commented on one of the videos, "This girl be mad using him. Sad thing is he doesn't realize. Bro there's no way he's hitting that." Another said, "Where's wifie's wedding ring?"

However, the couple does not only face criticism, they also have a large number of fans who appear to support their relationship. One user commented, "You guys are [an] adorable couple." Another user said, "Why are you so bothered about what they post on THEIR account? Get a life." One user wrote, "I don’t get why people are hating on them for being in love •-•."

The couple also started a YouTube channel named Scott & Divine which has over 5.98K subscribers.
