LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Episode 7 aired on HBO on Sunday, July 28. In this thrilling episode, the Blacks made a dramatic shift in the war's momentum by enlisting Ulf (Tom Bennett) and Hugh (Kieran Bew) as Dragonriders, claiming the unclaimed dragons Silverwing and Vermithor.

The Greens had been leading the war after capturing Rook's Rest and the loss of one of the Blacks's largest dragons, Meleys, who was killed by Vhagar

The Blacks appeared outmatched, with none of their dragons able to take on Vhagar. However, their bold decision to recruit Dragonseeds has revitalized their position in the war.

With the addition of the powerful dragons Vermithor and Silverwing, they now have the means to challenge Vhagar.

The Greens will need to mount a response, but they have dragons in their ranks that they can deploy alongside Vhagar to counter the Blacks' newfound strength

The Greens suffered a loss when Sunfyre was injured during Aemond Targaryen's (Ewan Mitchell) rage-fueled attack on his brother Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney), resulting in the loss of a dragon.

Now, Prince Regent Aemond Targaryen faces a shortage of dragons. For the first time, he was seen fleeing the battlefield with Vhagar, opting not to engage Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and her dragons.

Aemond will turn to the two dragons still at his disposal. The first is Dreamfyre, bonded with Helaena Targaryen (Phia Saban).

Dreamfyre, a dragon once ridden by Princess Rhaena Targaryen nearly a century before the Dance of the Dragons, is a fully grown beast that could prove valuable in the ongoing war.

Aemond must also address the mental health of Helaena, who has been deeply affected by recent tragedies: the death of her child at the hands of Blood and Cheese and witnessing her husband’s severe injuries.

The other dragon mentioned in the final moments of Episode 7 is Tessarion, ridden by Aemond's brother Daeron Targaryen. As discussed several times this season, Tessarion's newfound ability to fly makes him a potential Dragonrider available for the ongoing conflict.

According to George R.R. Martin's 'Fire and Blood,' Dreamfyre does not participate in the Dance of the Dragons because Helaena is unwilling to engage in the conflict.

However, Daeron and Tessarion play a significant role in the war. Daeron is pivotal in persuading the two new Dragonriders, Ulf, and Hugh, to switch sides and betray Rhaenyra.
