'House of the Dragon': Will Rhaenyra seek revenge for Luke's death in Season 2? Fans call it 'a perfect cliffhanger'
'House of the Dragon' made headlines even before the series aired in August 2022. The show is set about 200 years before the events of 'Game of Thrones.' The series showcases Rhaenyra Targaryen's conquest of ascending the Iron Throne. Fans have been enthralled by the series since the very first episode, as the show took them down memory lane with familiar names like Stark, Baratheon, and Lannisters. It also reminded them that the series belonged to the time when incestuous relationships were allegedly acceptable.
The latest episode which also happens to be the series finale showcased two of the most tragic events for Princess Rhaenyra. On one hand, she gives birth to a dead baby and on the other, her second son from her first marriage, Prince Lucerys Velaryon, gets chomped off by his cousin's dragon, Vhagar. Will blood spill in the second season? Will Rhaenyra be successful to take vengeance for Luke's death? We guess fans will witness what happens next in 2024 again. Nevertheless, after fans watched the latest episode, it is safe to say they are left restless and want more.

The good news for the fans is that five days after its premiere, the series was renewed for a second season, although it might take some time to release. Sadly, Miguel Sapochnik departed as showrunner after the first season, leaving Condal to serve as the sole showrunner for the second season although we guess the wait might be two years for all the fans. Speaking of fans, the watchers could barely keep calm after the last episode, while some are appreciating the hard work of the creators, others are ranting about how they want the second season to release as soon as possible.
