So, in the latest episode of 'House of Payne', apart from Curtis (LaVan Davis) reverting to his old poker habits, we were enterained by the usual Calvin (Lance Gross)-Miranda (Keshia Knight Pulliam) drama. Ella (Cassi Davis) found  herself stuck between Miranda and Laura, just like her son, she couldn't please either. She advised Miranda to talk to Calvin, in the hope they finally sort out their issues. Well, twist! At the end of the episode, Laura finally comes around to tell Calvin that she's in love with him — just after she tells him that all the things Miranda said about him were not lies. And then Miranda walked in on them kissing.

Miranda seems finally done with the Calvin story and decides to move on, going by the synopsis of Episode 13. "Miranda decides she should move on from Calvin. Ella doesn’t fully believe Miranda. Curtis has selfish ambitions with Miranda’s friend," the synopsis reads. For the last few episodes, Ella has been giving everyone, including Jazmine, relationship advice. Finally, Ella realizes that she might be just sick of hearing about women whine about Calvin and decides to lock the door after Laura leaves the house. Fans have repeatedly pointed that Ella needs to learn how to handle her own husband first who is still making inappropriate comments about every woman that enters his house at the moment. And it goes without saying, that the synopsis of Episode 13 might be leading to the same premise as well.

Fans have been mighty displeased with Curtis since the beginning of the season, as they see that he is not the same as he was before.  He takes Ella for granted and keeps expecting her to cook and clean for him. So it's no surprise that Ella had enough and walked out on him in one of the episodes lately. At the end of the episode, Curtis came crawling back to her and apologized for his behavior, as he clearly can't seem to handle anything without her. His house is a mess and he cannot cook. The motivations are off, but the sentiment is still there....we guess?

'House of Payne' airs on Wednesdays at 8pm only on BET.
