Hillary Clinton shares throwback picture of her mom with baby Chelsea as she visits newborn grandson
Hillary Clinton was seen visiting her daughter Chelsea who recently gave birth, in the hospital for the third day in a row on July 24. Hillary had recently shared a very touching Facebook post about Chelsea and her own mother in honor of Chelsea's newborn baby boy.
The former secretary of state, 71, posted a throwback picture of herself watching on as her mother held a baby Chelsea. She captioned the image, "Thinking of this photo of my mother holding baby Chelsea, with my dad looking on over her shoulder, as Chelsea this week has just welcomed her third child, Jasper. Bill and I are extraordinarily proud grandparents, just like they were."
The picture was clicked in 1980 soon after Chelsea was born. Hillary's mother Dorothy Howell can be seen in the center cradling Chelsea in her arms. Shortly after sharing the picture online, Hillary was seen at the Lenox Hill Hospital on Manhattan's Upper East Side where her daughter Chelsea has been since giving birth to her third child, Jasper, whom she had with husband Marc Mezvinsky.
Hillary was seen all bundled up as she arrived at the hospital dressed in a white jacket which she wore over a black top and pants. She was seen waving to onlookers and photographers. She chose to accessorize her outfit with silver bangles, a chunky necklace, big stud earrings, and sunglasses. Her husband, former president Bill Clinton, 72, was not seen with her as she headed to the hospital.
Chelsea took to Twitter on July 22 to share the exciting news. "This morning we welcomed our son, Jasper Clinton Mezvinsky. We are overflowing with love and gratitude and can't wait to introduce him to his big sister and brother," she wrote. Hillary also took to social media to share, "Sharing some happy news this morning! Bill and I are so thrilled."
