Hilary Duff shares photos of feeding wedding cake to Matthew Koma for New Year's: 'Best day of 2019'
Hilary Duff on Tuesday celebrated New Year’s Eve by sharing three new photos from her wedding day. The 32-year-old American actress got married to singer/songwriter Matthew Koma in an intimate backyard ceremony last month.
In the photos, both Duff and Koma looked radiant as they fed each other a piece of their two-tier wedding cake. A second photo shows Koma with icing on his nose and hand as Duff leans in with a smile. In the third picture, the newlyweds were seen kissing.
The Instagram post was captioned: “Making promises to this guy was by far the best day/night of 2019. 2018 was so special because of Banksy. 2019 will always hold our wedding. Feeling grateful for health, our family, love, and dreams coming true. Can’t wait to buckle up for 2020. May all your hopes/dreams and hard work come true/pay off. Love you all.”
In the photos, the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ actor was seen wearing a sparkly, gold two-piece outfit with her hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was donning gold hoop earrings. Koma, on the other hand, was in a black tuxedo.
The wedding, as per sources who spoke to People magazine, was low-key. “The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends,” the source said, adding, “The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard. Her sister Haylie was very involved in the wedding prep too. Hilary and Haylie are very close.”
Things seem to only be on the rise for Duff. January 1 saw the first sneak-peek into the reboot of her iconic teenage comedy show ‘Lizzie McGuire’. On New Year’s Day, Disney+ shared a trailer for what’s to come to the streaming platform this year, including the very-anticipated revival Duff’s show. “Hi, it’s me,” a grinning McGuire can be seen saying, standing outside a car toward the end of the minute-long teaser.
