LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA:  Hila Cage Coppola, the ex-daughter-in-law of actor Nicolas Cage, is seeking to withdraw her plea for a restraining order against her former husband, Weston Cage Coppola, amidst their contentious court battle over support. Hila's petition accused Weston of threatening her on June 5, 2023, following a settlement conference at the Los Angeles Superior Court in Van Nuys.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Hila now wants to drop the restraining order until she can obtain the surveillance videos as evidence. However, her request for dismissal was refused by the court staff, who advised her to appear for the hearing on June 30, 2023, to ask the judge for dismissal.

'Hila made knowingly false representations'

Hila expressed frustration as she wrote, "However, the court staff, similar to the subpoena, refused to accept my request for dismissal. They advised me to appear for the hearing on June 30, 2023, to ask (the judge) to dismiss the restraining order." Weston has vehemently denied the allegations made by Hila and labeled them as "delusional." He accused his ex-wife and her friend of instigating the confrontation. In a declaration, Weston stated, "Hila made knowingly false representations in her Restraining Order application" and requested that she bear the legal costs of defending against the restraining order.

'Hila's description of events... is false'

Philip J Marr, Weston's lawyer, also questioned the authenticity of Hila's account of the events at the Van Nuys Courthouse, with help from her new partner and mother Christina Fulton, stating, "Hila's description of events... is false." Marr pointed out that the courthouse is equipped with security cameras, and the footage would demonstrate the inconsistency of Hila's statement with reality. “That space has security cameras, and any footage will show Hila's statement is inconsistent with reality.”

The legal battle between Weston and Hila began when the single mother filed a claim demanding $4,634 in monthly support for their two-year-old twins, Venice and Cyress. Weston countered with his own filing, stating that he voluntarily pays $2,000 a month pending a ruling by the California Department of Child Support Services.

'She is the divine incarnation of everything I love and the owner of my heart'

The former couple got married on April 28 2018 in Canyon Country, California, however, Weston's famous father wasn't among the attendees as he was busy shooting a film overseas. “To marry the sacred individual that the universal mind created me for is the greatest honor I’ve ever received. She is the divine incarnation of everything I love and the owner of my heart,” Weston said of Hila at the time as per People. However, the couple separated in 2021.
